I dined here for the first time earlier this week. From the moment we arrived, the service was welcoming, expert, absolutely first-rate. The food was utterly delicious, the best of traditional Belgian cuisine with original, unique, touches and adaptations, beautifully presented, and a real delight to savour from start to finish. We had the 3-course menu, which proved to be ample, with large portions, and of excellent value.

First experience, and we were not disappointed. From cocktails to desserts, everything was very good and well prepared. The smoked salmon was really excellent, and served with a little refreshing mousse, a delight. Cheese croquettes, herb-crusted veal and its little meat juice!! Everything was excellent. The setting is rather pleasant and cozy. On the plate, apart from the green risotto for which the truffle was too subtle as it was almost non-existent, we were pleasantly surprised by the burger which was very fine and by the Liège boulet whose sauce was succulent. Price in the upper average

Big disappointment.

The staff was friendly and the croquettes at the entrance good. Regarding the main meal it was not good! Tasteless rib. The gambas are undercooked and burned over a wood fire so an aftertaste and a bad texture in the mouth. The dish of sickening Italian beef tartare. More olive than beef in too intense a marinade. My daughters don't want to go back to eat. At the checkout the nice girl was sorry saying that it depended on the kitchen staff who are not always the same.

Quality of service in free fall

Very disappointed with my last visit. The service was particularly catastrophic: having taken a menu with matching wines, the waiter was unable to talk about his wines or recommend one or the other. He told us he didn't drink wine. In this case, any hotel management school learns that the server must offer the possibility of bringing in a person who knows and can advise. The service during payment was also very incredible. I felt like I knew the card better than the person cashing it. I don't want to blame the servers, but rather the managers who should have provided minimal training. As for the dishes, they were faithful to the good level of the restaurant (croquettes, excellent veal), apart from the dessert: a reinterpreted crème brulée but which had lost the fundamentals of creme brulée. It was a sort of fruit compote with a sugar crust, but without cream.

We will remember the very unfriendly service. Service not up to par at all. Entry-level quality wines included. Very classic starter, excellent main course. Really bad citrus crème brulée dessert. Nobody liked it.

Comfortable environment, courteous staff and quick service. Very good meat (I took the Simmental steak) and very tasty desserts. Very convenient for those who stay in the Martin's Agora hotel like I did but generally central to the town. Average prices. I recommend it for those who pass through here for work reasons and also for leisure trips.

We had a very good evening, an incredible wine list, the Ardennes croquette is very good and the burger with its onion confit was unanimous, while the gourmet café ended a good meal in a pleasant way. The staff is welcoming and smiling, caring without being oppressive. The setting is cozy, you feel good there. It was our first time but not the last.

A good brewery

The address is rather nice, a large brasserie atmosphere with a slightly cozy side. We had lunch (offered in 2 or 3 courses), of good quality. Great wine list on offer. The only real regret; no possibility of having a la carte (understand; only lunch available), really a shame (a detail which will make me avoid returning at midday in favor of the evening). Approximate but good service. In the end, a good time shared.

Great discovery for this Giftbox!

I chose to eat in the region and this is the restaurant we chose and what a setting! on the ground floor of this hotel, which is magnificent internally (the patio will be tested next time, outside). The decor and dishes are perfect. We had a 3-course menu with the chef's choice which was perfect. We had the bartender's surprise cocktail: a delight. The wine is very good and the sparkling water was free. We recommend it! In addition on this LLN site whose atmosphere is pleasant.

Good restaurant - service can be improved

I have dinner very often here when in town. I tasted all dishes in the menu - and they are all very good. Customers are usually from the hotel. Young waiters are doing the service - some of them are very good - some have room for improvement and in busy days your order may be very delayed or even mixed up - if the person getting the order has little to no English...
