We booked for the two of us for dinner a few weeks ago. I hadn’t been to A Table at Eatons for many years and so We were looking forward to it! We were not disappointed at all. Very warm welcome and chit chat from...John and Lou who treated us like old friends. The food was really good and well prepared and presented. My wife had the Field Mushroom and Goats Cheese whilst I had Scallops. Highly recommended. For mains we chose Chicken for my wife and I had the Rack of Lamb. Pink and gorgeous!
We both had puds - Treacle and Stem Ginger tart and Crème Caramel. We also had a bottle of Italian red. Thanks for a great evening - we will be back soon…More
"a table at Eaton's" has an unprepossessing frontage but once inside you discover a bijou restaurant that produces amazing food. It is owned and run by John & Louise who singlehandedly provide an exceptional dining experience without any fanfare. The sea bass in its own...unique sauce is exceptional.More
Had a celebratory lunch here with a large party of family and friends. The food was excellent and the owners were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble and they were particularly helpful in accommodating me - who suffers with restricted mobility.
We'll certainly aim to...pay a return visit if we're again in the area.More
We are holidaying in the area. We haven’t had service like this for a long time- fabulous . Nothing was too much trouble and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant. The couple that run it are fantastic at their job, felt very...welcome and at ease. Thank you!More
We are so pleased that we came across this truly wonderful restaurant. Fantastic service and amazing food made for a great evening. The menu has a variety of choices and we had the half crispy duck, rack of lamb and sea bass as mains with...an abundance of fresh vegetables. We will definitely be trying to go back before we head home.More
Just had a New Years Eve Take-away. Salmon and Prawn Seafood Parcel and Pan Fried Scallops Thermidor starter, Rack of Lamb and Crispy Duck main course and Treacle and Stemmed Ginger Tart and Lemon Posset for pudding. All top notch. Well done John & Lou.
Just had a takeaway from here, only one word, FANTASTIC, if you’re stuck for a meal and don’t want the usual ,come here !
Had the pork off the a la carte, plenty of veg and lovely pork and black pudding.
We booked here for a last minute romantic evening out-we we’re not disappointed!
Firstly let me say that the best is was very well set up for the new restrictions due to Covid, we had no concerns.
It was a quiet Wednesday evening and so...the venue felt very intimate, personable and the host was extremely attentive. Drinks and menus were sorted extremely quickly without feeling rushed or cajoled
Once we had chosen our dishes we were left to converse and soak in the atmosphere which was very relaxed
Starters arrived-scallops for me and prawns for my husband, both were absolutely delicious, you could clearly tell that everything was homemade and both starters were a delight
Mains-steak and a rack of lamb, both were simply stunning with the meat falling apart as you cut it and the accompaniments were without fault- we were on to a winner!
Neither my husband and I are pudding people but we made the leap and thank god we did.. lemon posset was (I didn’t try it) presented beautifully and husband was very complimentary. As for the treacle and stem finger tart, well... the BEST pudding I have ever eaten with what was clearly hand made custard-it was divine
Not only is the food more then good but the host and hostess (a husband and wife duo) make it a truly personable and enjoyable evening-I would (if we lived locally) be a weekly patron as the whole experience was just utterly perfectMore
