My wife and I decided to visit this pub on the basis of the positive Tripadvisor reviews for both vegetarian meals and real ale. We were not disappointed. There are very few establishments in South Cheshire that offer more than 2 or 3 vegetarian dishes in both starter and main groups. To offer 5 main course vegetarian dishes (excluding pizzas)... We called in here as it was close to where we were staying in self catering accommodation. The three of us all had starters and main meals. The starters were so nice but be warned they don't skimp on portions! One had broccoli and Stilton soup with crusty bread, one had prawn cocktail and crusty bread and I had garlic... More

Waw what a find this place is. The choice for vegetarians on a sunday is exellent. The everyday menu for vegetarians here is good but to have a choice of 2 vegetarian Sunday roast is brilliant. Quorn or nut roast with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and vegetables. We always opt for the nut roast. You can choose a vegetarian or... More

A GREAT village pub, tasty food with generous portion sizes. Well worth a visit, for an easy-going pub meal.

I chose this pub because it has gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan food - there are very few pubs/ restaurants like this around, certainly here. I need gluten-free and my friend is a vegetarian. The pub is certainly not luxurious, not posh in the slightest. But the staff are friendly. If the sign of good food is the way the vegetables... More

Having settled into the area we decided to return after 10 months and found all EXACTLY as good as before. It may not be luxurious but good quality wholesome food in a friendly atmosphere. We will be back👍

Great food and good service - I need a completely gluten free meal and I know when I eat here I am never I'll because of contamination or not understanding what it means to require a gluten free diet. The choice for gluten free is the best that I have ever had and there are desserts too! I've never managed... More

I regularly cone to this little gem of a pub because as a gluten free vegan I know I can have a wonderful meal that is tasty and varied rather than the usual offerings of a salad or chips from many places .The menus are put together thoughtfully and theres is sonething for everyone..I love it here

So glad we live near this pub. It is a bit dated in its looks, but this should not put anyone off. The food is great and the staff are so helpful and friendly. At last, I can enjoy a Sunday roast with my meat eating Hubby in a restaurant. Kids love it too. Would highly recommend.

This was our lunch break on our day hike. We were given a friendly welcome with no problems over our walking boots. The menu gave a good choice and value at £5. The information on suitability for vegetarians etc was clear and the portions were ample and well presented. It took awhile for all of us to be served as... More
