We had lunch here yesterday, having walked along the towpath from Marbury. The pub was initially very quiet, though more customers soon arrived. Our order was quickly taken and the starters soon arrived; these were very nice. We didn't have to wait long for the...More

I was pleasantly surprised here. First place we found along our canal trip to grab an evening meal. The food was very tasty and the portions were decent. Could well be back next year unless we go the other way!

Visited on Saturday afternoon for lunch. It seemed a real effort for staff to serve food and drink. Lack of friendly atmosphere. In fact no atmosphere. I like traditional pubs but this one needs a good clean and refurb. I won't be rushing back. Location...More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Last Saturday afternoon was indeed quiet, storm Brian had hit and we only cooked 16 covers all lunchtime, but felt we had done this with our normal enthusiasm … clearly you disagree. You will see...More

The weather outside was terrible, but The Willeymoore was a safe haven from the storm. The reception was warm, and the food was comforting. Really couldn’t ask for more.

Stopped for lunch on Thursday for the first time and will be back. Proper pub grub at very reasonable prices. Lovely location too, can't wait to visit in the summer so can sit outside and watch the boats.

WARNING! The management are vandals. We spent over £100 at this pub and spent the night on our canal boat. My wife met us at the pub so that she could go to work in the morning. They locked the gates and had still not...More

Sam C - your comments are slanderous and I am disgusted that Trip Advisor have published them. In 39 years of running the Willeymoor Lock Tavern we have had no issues with vandalism, and to suggest that this alleged damage was deliberate and at our...More
