Amazing, worth the wait. Cozy little restaurant with only 5 tables. Best meal in Mykonos and the staff were lovely. We enjoyed baked feta, Cretan salad, Chicken with mushrooms a la creme, meatball special etc.

The service is outstanding!!! We had falafel which was super delicious. My husband had lamb, excellent and I had the best chicken salad ever 😋
Traditional and authentic Greek food in the old town of Mykonos. They do not take reservations so you have a table when you are lucky. Or have a seat at the bar which we did. The standard menu is offering enough choice but they also...had six specialties of the day. The atmosphere, friendly staff and rustic food were all great and amazing, at very reasonable prices you don’t see that often anymore in Mykonos town. Important to know that they only serve meat, no fish. If looking for an authentic Greek food tradition, including lovely Greek music, a great restaurant to visit!More
Just come back from our umpteenth stay on the island and this place is always the highlight of our stay. You either have to get there before 7.00pm when they open or queue for a table – they don’t take bookings. It really is worth...the wait – the food is amazing – The Zucchini Balls are the best I have ever tasted but the real highlight is the cream desert – I can honesty say I have never had anything like it. On top of this the staff are always amazing and welcoming and make you feel really at home.More
Superb food, kind owners. OMG the zucchini balls and ‘Asimina’s’ meatballs - delicious. But if a wait but worth it. Trick is to turn up before 7pm seating. Reasonable prices compared to over-inflated Mykonos dining and drinks.
My partner and I weren’t too impressed with the food scene in Mykonos. Many of the restaurants were clearly geared toward tourist, mediocre tasting, and overpriced. To Maereio was far from that and the one of the only places we enjoyed a homey Greek meal...that was not only tasty, but reasonable in central Mykonos. I noticed we were surrounded by what it seemed to be recurring customers that knew the staff well, which was a good sign! This place is run by two brothers, one handles the bar and the other the kitchen. They had a fun and playful dynamic and I personally loved the family run business atmosphere. We ordered a form of bruschetta (tomato and goat cheese on bread), beef filet, and chicken with leeks. The two main dishes were tasteful and tender with great flavor! The portions were also generous for someone like my bf. 10/10 recommend and make sure to make reservations because this place was busy until closing!More
Recommended by our local tour guide and did not disappoint. Opens at 7pm and lucky we were then as filled up very quickly but also small restaurant. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food was very good and reasonably priced. There were many people waiting for...table when we left.More
Such a great find. Authentic food. Super service and reasonably price. Definitely worth a visit. We arrived just before opening but I would have waited for a table.
Delicious food, great service and staff, amazing atmosphere. If we had more time we would come back, highly reccomend!! Be prepared to wait up to an hour for a table as they don’t take reservations but it’s worth it - sit outside on the benches...with a glass of wine and make friends with others! We ordered the Greek salad, zucchini balls (best I’ve had in Greece so far), chicken & leek and meatballs (fries were insane).More
Great local cuisine. Down-to earth, well spiced and very tasty. Each day special recommendations not listed in the menue. We had chicken breast from the oven, meat balls, veal, beef filet, vegetables with artichokes, salat. All are a recommendation.
The staff is incredible friendly and attentive - extremely good and authentic food - no issues, highly recommend!
We had only one night in mykonos so we thought we try here, given the positive reviews. We really enjoyed this meal. Good authentic Greek food that isn't outrageously priced - quite hard to find in mykonos town! Wine and drinks are also very reasonably...priced. Thank you 😊More
We came here after a recommendation from our hotel for a local/authentic restaurant and were not disappointed. It is a small and charming family run restaurant, with lots of Greek patrons. Menu is comfort home cooking Greek food and is priced very competitively for Mykonos....Service was nice and attentive and everyone speaks great English. I know the don't have any view but the ambience is nice and traditional. The local clientele speaking Greek adds a lot of charm without making you feel unwelcome. A very nice place and we totally recommend to anyone coming to Mykonos.More
What a deception! one of the twin brothers was very rude! There was little food and my 7-year-old daughter cooks better... it's one thing to make well-prepared and comforting homemade food, another thing is to take advantage of the fame you gained on Trip Advisor...and focus only on making money. We left hungry! And even worse was the way one of the twin brothers failed to present the check! The lack of education is unbelievable. It was without a doubt the worst meal of our 15 day vacation in Greece!! Shame on you!More
During 1 week stay we came to eat here three times! Cozy and homey atmosphere. Thank you for the amazing experience each time. I highly recommend!
