A good spot for a delicious, traditional menu, nicely prepared and promptly served. The main reason to eat here, however, is the veritable parade of humanity passing by. I thought I was going to have a sore neck with all the twisting and turning to...catch the next sight!
Our greeting was efficient but not especially warm. However, our server eventually loosened up, and we ended up with a fun meal experience. Ignoring our rule to always share a main course in a Greek restaurant, we ordered two specials: lamb shank braised in local red wine and a wild green stew. Fortunately, the portions were a manageable tourist size, and we didn’t have to call in family reserves to complete the task. Desserts were offered in an assortment of little pudding jars ranging from chocolate mousse to a lovely cheesecake. Excellent espresso afterwards.
A note on directions: some guides show two different addresses making you think there might be two sister restaurants. The answer is the place fronts the greensward of the Liston and backs on to Kapodistriou street. So you have a seating choice of inside and two outsides. Are you the see and be seen type? Take the Liston side. Want a quieter venue to see but be a bit anonymous? Choose the street side.More
