After a delightful 14km walk in the beautiful "Flemish Ardennes" environment, we had an aperitif and evening meal at this place. Outstanding location in the woods, with easy access. large and inviting terras, cosy and well decorated interior. Waiters were all very friendly and welcoming. I was a bit disappointed to receive my Aperol spritz in a small regular glass,... More

I had been here many times in a distant past. But that was usually for pancakes. Last weekend we needed some real food, but not too much. So we asked for "Bordje gemengd" and a beer. We got a really generous wooden plate of of cheese, ham, salami and more. It was a perfect afternoon.

Went here for a late lunch, we ordered the cheese croquettes and a soup of the day (carrot cream soup). First we got a quiche loiranne with mustard dressing from the house and a bread basked with absolute fabulous fresh baked bread. All included! The cheese croquettes came with fries (plenty!) and the soup was quite a big bowl too.... More

'Boekzitting' is a Flemish restaurant located amidst the beautiful nature around Ronse. The waiters are friendly, although I do not understand why you can not sit at the window, so to speak, because those tables are for more than 4 people. Indeed, the restaurant was merely occupied for 20% and all these tables remained empty. We took the Bistro menu... More

We stumbled on this place while day hiking in the adjacent woods, it is super. Patio or inside dining, little English spoken but they love to assist as best they can. Family run, we just loved the authenticity of this Belgian restaurant.

We came here a couple of times with friends and their children. Very friendly people serving excellent food. They have a special corner for the children to play, read and watch television. The food is served in abundance and beautifully dressed up. After lunch you can take a walk in the wonderful wood of Muziekbos.

Make sure you are hungry before entering: the menu consists of gargantuan portions of local and fresh produce. If not, go for a long walk in the Muziekbos (Music Forest) first. This bistro is located on top of a hill and an ideal starting point for exploring this beautiful hidden gem of Flanders. Warm welcome, excellent service (good timing!), nice... More

Provides both the possibility to sit inside or to use the (big) terrace in case of good weather. It is a place to visit without any specific positive or negative aspects. Food is good, service is good, location is good and price is right. Maybe one advise: on a busy evening (like saturday evening) it can be pretty full and... More
