Great place for relaxing, after long distance of walking we arrive to a simple local restaurant home made by local family. The service was ok not so professional for tourists but the food is perfection with all the vibe of the pastorali view you will have your best lunch ever.

From Como with the funiculaire to Brunate. While climbing to the lighthouse on a rocky path, we passed a hand written sign that lunch was served from 12:30. And so we had a nice italian lunch. Charming restaurant and pleasant welkome.

Delicious home made food in a quaint and secluded setting. This place really felt like a hidden remnant of real Italy, untouched by tourists and gentrification. The setting is rustic and the view so peaceful. The waitresses/cooks were super sweet too!

We stopped here on our way to varenna looking for a nice lunch and found a delicious feast instead. The lasagna, ravioli with chestnut sauce and two kinds of octopus (in red sauce and grilled with lemon and garlic) were all just crazy good!

Called in for drinks over Christmas 2015. The town was in the clouds and snow was falling, couple of beers with the fire burning was just the ticket.

We took a train from Como and walked additional 20min to the restaurant. It was a very pleasant walk as restaurant is located above the village. We were a pretty big party (10 persons with 5 adults and 5 children). We have eat many different things from their menu (antipasti, primo and secondo piatti) and almost everything was very disappointing. We... More

Nice tucked away place. Stunning views of the Como lake. Food is fresh, homemade and full of flavors. Nice stop after going up to the lighthouse.

Recommended by the owner of the B&B. Great food especially the Minestrone soup. I highly recommend it too.

In contrast to the poor review I just wrote for Il Gatto Nero, this gem off the beaten track is so worth the trek up from the Brunate funicular station. You'll need to count in an uphill walk, but what a reward! We had lunch and started with antipasto plate with salami, bruschetta with olive tapenade, a small piece of... More
