We were looking for a Dog Friendly Pub. This was above our expectations. Lovely atmosphere. Food well above pub grub standard and priced well.

I popped in yesterday with my cocker spaniel (and eventually my Mrs) to be welcomed by a whole host of other friendly dogs/dog owners. There's a funky beer garden out the back that gets the sun. Nice people and good beer.

4 of us had a wonderful meal this evening. Why the restaurant was quiet I do not know, as the meal was a credit to the chef, and a delightful young man was in charge.

As long as the dog is well behaved and can tolerate other dogs then it will be welcome in the downstairs bar area. It might however get a surfeit of dog biscuits from the other denisons of the bar.

The establishment also trades as a public house providing Bar meals from Wednesday to Sunday and a Restaurant which is open on a Friday and Saturday evening. Booking is preferred but not essential.

Children are welcome in the bar area but must vacate the premises by 8pm stated by our license. However, in the Restaurant children are welcome later.

Everything from our kitchen is made fresh for both areas of dining which makes us stand out from other establishments. Our Chef, Graeme will not send out anything if it is not perfect!

We are also an award winning Ale pub so why not come along and try our fine ales and wonderful homemade food?

We look forward to seeing you very soon!
