With its strong portuguese influence, Lord Stows Bakery is the original Portuguese egg tart, known well all around Macau. One this trip to Hong Kong, we tried many Egg Tarts in various places, but Lord Stows is definitely one of the best. Light flaky pastry, warm and custard-y is all that describes this delicate little treat. We were fortunate to... More

Never give this a miss - the Tarts I mean. We had one each day of our visit! Although you can find Portuguese Custard Tarts all over Macau, we only eat the ones from Lord Stows Bakery. This is the original place it started. Easily sighted at the little town centre. Accessible by buses from city centre and the Cotai... More

When in Coloane a must visit. Great bakery with even more famous egg tarts. Just around the corner is a Lord Stoves cafe restaurant with delicious sandwiches.

Superb! Literally the best portuguese egg tart in the world. The filling and the flaky sort of pastry is wonderful. I must say this egg tart is better than the most popular Hong Kong's egg tart but people's opinion may differ though.

Loved the tarts! You'll spot the shop as there's always a queue outside. Very yummy though and speedy service. Ordering coffee was slightly more confusing as there was a language barrier but we got there!

We have been here 20 years ago and just visited the same place at Coloane the ancient place in Macau and location to buy the famous egg tart. Still delicious and fresh just like years ago. Long queue during day but less at evening. They just opened their Lord stowe's garden restaurant where we can dine in and enjoy the... More

Tried the stall at Venetian and the stall at Taipa village where the tarts were slightly cheaper. The tarts were the best that I have tasted. The outside slightly burned and the inside with a slight tinge of sweetness to add to the mushiness of the egg tart. Simply divine

If you want to try one of the most delicious pastries "pastel de nata" or "tan tat" this is the place on your way to the Penha Church which by the way closes on Mondays.

Had the famous tart. IMHO, better than competitors in Macau but not original pastry found in Belém Portugal. Smallish shop, English speaking friendly wait staff. Lunch offerings we tried weren't outstanding. In fact my "Capella (meatloaf) was very ordinary. Decent coffee and beverages tho.
