Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was a perfect evening. We ate in the outdoor terrace and the weather was lovely. The menu is simple (3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts) and the ingredients are locally sourced. The wine list is extensive with a large number of local wines...(Montlouis, Vouvray, Touraine) available by the glass. The food was light, delicious, and well presented. The menu changes with the seasons. So, whatever is available is appropriate for the time of your visit.More

Excellent, beautifully presented food of a very high standard, enjoyed the private garden dining with gorgeous flowers and scented shrubs. The only thing that was missing was some atmosphere and a warm welcoming ambience as the hosts concentrated on delivering food.

We dined in August. Easily found on the riverside road with plenty of parking. Very pleasant team on duty (husband/wife?) who were welcoming and spoke enough English for my schoolboy French to suffice. The interior has been modernised in a very pleasing style - we...normally prefer ‘old school’ but this worked for us. Excellent menu and wine list. The food had top quality ingredients, was well cooked and superbly presented throughout. The restaurant was quite busy, but the team never appeared flustered and offered a very good level of service. Price about average for a restaurant of this class. Recommended.More

The lunch menu at €15,40 is a very good deal indeed--it includes a main course, dessert, and coffee plus an amuse gueule. The restaurant is well-situated on the left bank of the Loire, and there is free, ample parking opposite. Service is good, and clearly...a number of locals eat there regularly. N.B. closed on Sunday night until Tuesday lunch.More

Slightly off the beaten track, ie not town centre but with the advantage of ample parking. Excellent menu, super service and delicious food. We will go back and try an evening meal there next time!

We enjoyed our meal at La Tourangelle. It is much better than the average French bistro but not at the level of the really good restaurants (som e of the dishes are good but dont just quite come together)

Disappointed to not be able to dine at Chateau de le Bourdaisiere but their recommendation of this restaurant turned out well for us. Restaurant full, service good and spectacular food and presentation. Desserts were all fruit based, one with fresh figs and the other with...fresh apricots: not necessarily low calorie but unique and delicious. A contemporary interior with original art work. Good value.More

Great local food with fresh products. Plus the service is attentive and unobtrusive, staff was very helpful and dexterous.

The welcome was friendly enough but despite a relatively empty restaurant (Tuesday night) service was very slow both on arriving and between courses. We ordered the 23 Euro set menu which sounded great. Each course was beautifully presented but the quality of the cooking of...the starters and mains did not match the presentation. The haddock starter was tepid and there were bones. The pea fricassee was also tepid, the peas were hard and not tasty and the sauce was watery. With the main course of belly pork the meat was unevenly cooked and some parts were desiccated. Yet the skin was not crisped. It has to be said that the desserts were very tasty. The wine recommendation was spot on too - we had a half bottle of Saumur red. Shame really.More

A wonderful restaurant in the Loire Valley. We had a bottle of Sancerre and shared some appetizers (smoked haddock and caviar, foie gras, garden vegetable mix, and the cheese plate). Showed up without a reservation but was seated quickly. Elegant but not stuffy space. Excellent...presentation and execution. Ample street parking and right next to the Loire River. Menu is in both English and French. Would definitely go back.More

Their menu is certainly different from most French restaurants. The food was excellent - but definitely ecclectic. I had an appetizer of millefeuille of crab that was absolutely outstanding but with strong Spanish influences. Just be ready for a little different ride here!

We went here as it was near our campsite and saw it had good reviews. It did not disappoint. The style of the restaurant is simple and we sat outside. The waitress didn't speak English but we just about got by. We had the set...menu which is incredibly cheap compared to English standards. The food was excellent and interesting as well as being presented beautifully. I had the cold tomato with foam and caramel for my starter which sounds weird but highly recommended. The deserts were amazing tooMore

We were out for the day buying 'bubbles' We know this area quite well and we were looking for a new restaurant. Delightful atmosphere. Original art work on the walls and tastefully decorated. We chose to eat in the terrace. Beneath the truffeau wall which...hides thousands of troglodyte caves. Many used to store the wines of the region. Lunch was the Menu du Jour. 13.50€ a head accompanied by a kir to start and a delicious glass of St Nicholas de Bourgueil red. Good food and good value for moneyMore

A good restaurant in Town - service was rather slow and our party of 19 may well have overwhelmed them a bit - the fix reception took 20 minutes to arrive after we ordered it and the wine list was OK rather than great. It's...a large restaurant with a substantial rear paved garden to eat in. The food quite good but not blow away and sensibly priced.More

We stopped at La Tourangelle by chance and were absolutely delighted with our find! The shady terrace was just the right place to be on a hot day and the standard and presentation of the food was beyond our expectations. A very refined and innovative...table, presented with sophistication. Prices were also very reasonable at lunchtime - 15 Euros for a main course, dessert and coffee or menus for 22 or 31 Euros. The wine served (we chose the Morgon) was also very good. Well recommendedMore
