Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This restaurant is part of Hotel du Chateau. The hotel and its friendly staff itself is fine and by all means stay there but the restaurant leaves much to be desired. The starter of Foie Gras was OK but this does not require any cookery...skills. The main course of Steak & fries was very poor indeed. Steak very tough and was served practically well done and not at all "A point" as requested. Fries too soft and almost blackened. Indifferent service. Cannot recommend.More

Whilst staying at the Château we decided to try their own restaurant ... ‘123’ ... What a mistake! We were politely greeted and shown to our table. We ordered our drinks, starters and mains. The drinks came quickly enough but the starter, Fois Gras, took...forever. And let’s face it, Fois Gras doesn’t take any preparation time. And why was it that 4 other tables who all arrived well after us were all served well before us? One of these 4 tables even had their starters, mains AND finished their deserts while we were still waiting for our mains! It really annoys me when restaurants take the piss like that, so we just got up and walked out. Maybe this chef or the waitress doesn’t like the English or perhaps its because of Brexit? Who knows? But whatever the reason there is simply no excuse for such blatant ignorance! Disgraceful.More

We had 2 meals at the restaurant while staying at the hotel and they were delicious. Service was excellent and the food was really good. Recommended the duck and cod. Try the chocolate soup for pudding.

Uncomfortable seats and limited menu. What we had was well cooked and tasty. Wine list is limited but pleasant.

Stayed in the hotel so eating in the restaurant was an obvious choice. Sadly the food was fairly average.....chewy meat being the biggest complaint. The staff were fabulous....the dining room was fabulous.....the food was average

Without a reservation, we stopped into this restaurant for lunch. There were not many diners, but there was only one outstanding waiter for the entire restaurant. He was very friendly and efficient, and he spoke English. We had a delicious bowl of moules in a...curry sauce as an entrée. My wife had the fish as her plat; I had the turkey. Both were quite good. The Café Gourmand for dessert was wonderful. The dining room is very attractive with interesting objets d'art. I should note that we had made a reservation for an earlier date on TheFork.com, which was initially accepted by the restaurant and then canceled by the manager. I am not certain what the problem was, but you should be aware.More

Was staying at the Chateau adjacent to the restaurant and had dinner here the first night. Was lovely to sit outside and have a meal here. Food was very enjoyable, fresh and well presented. Great value food and attentive service. A thoroughly enjoyable meal and...great value. Not a huge menu but wanted everything on it. Just how it should be! Shame its in France and not in the UK.More

Food was great value at 29e and beautifully presented. Top marks to the waiter who provided us with great service. No surprises with the wine list either. Would be happy to return again.
