I tend not to review take aways as with the odd exception my experience has been mixed, good one time not so the next. However, I’ve now used Kings Garden on five occasions and it continues to impress both me and my wife.
The portions are large and reasonably priced and generally if they say it will be 20 minutes it is 20 minutes. However, what impresses me the most is the quantity of meat or seafood in dishes, they don’t scrimp on the Kind Prawns, our experience is you get a good helping.
The free bottle of beer or soft drink on collection is a nice touch. I think I’ve now found a regular Chinese Take Away.

I’ve been to this Chinese takeaway 5 or 6 times now and we have been greeted with a happy smile and on entry the owner gave both of us a complimentary bottle of beer which is a nice touch . I’ve tried all the Chinese takeaways in burgess hill and this is without a doubt this one is the best . The food is first class and the owner is so friendly. So if you haven’t been there before I advise you to try it

Thought I’d give kings garden a try as been so disappointed with the food from other Chinese take aways in town.
All I can say is amazing. The food arrived within fifteen minutes, very hot and generous portions.
The food was delicious especially the noodles and fried rice which had that authentic slightly charred Chinese flavour that you don’t often get from uk take aways.
Kings garden is now my go to Chinese takeaway in burgess hill.
Highly recommended if you prefer authentic Chinese food rather than the bland offerings from others in town.
Keep up the good work guys.

really nice meal but over about a year the prices seem to be going up steadily. Tonight was the last straw I was charged an extra £1 and when I rang up to query this I was told it was a £1 delivery charge. I asked where was this displayed on their menu and the answer was "I don't look at the menu". No more there are plenty of other chinese restaurants in Burgess Hill.

In my opinion, this is the best Chinese food in the Burgess Hill area…..restaurants and takeaways included.
The food arrived on time, the order was accurately delivered and the food was piping hot and delicious.
There’s a nice variety of dishes on here that aren’t typically available on the other standard offerings available. We had the grilled pork dumplings and the steamed siu mai, together with the roast pork buns for starters. The 1/4 aromatic crispy duck was superb, as was the plain chow mein with bean sprouts. Oh..the 2 large pancake rolls were very nice too…we were feeling very hungry which was just as well!
Overall a faultless meal and no feeling of MSG hangover the next day.
We will definitely be ordering from here in the future.

We had a big order for the family over the weekend and would like to say the food was delicious . Tried several Chinese in town before but would definetly recommend Kings Garden. The half a duck which came with sauce and pancakes and veg was really nice and Shredded chilli beef was delicious. Really enjoyed their King prawn Chow Mein , big portions and we also had a few free drinks given to us.. We would defintely come back again .

Second time ordering from here. Girl on phone very polite and arrived reasonably quickly (was a Tuesday night).
Disappointingly the food was poor, egg fried rice was stodgy and quite tasteless, chilli squid didn't seem fully cooked either.
Willing to think they were having an 'off day' as last time was spot on and other reviews are good. Unfortunately won't risk ordering from here again.

Probably the worst Chinese Take Away t hat I have had. The prawn crackers were stale, there was hardly any chicken in one of the dishes and we ordered a King Prawn Po dish which did not have any prawns. We will not be back. AVOID!!!

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Chicken was fatty and shouldn’t even be classed as chicken. The food was stone cold. Only good thing about it was the satay chicken but the rest was garbage and a waste of money I had to bin it. Waste of £60. And there were dishes missing but when I realised and went to go back the man had closed early. There were holes in the containers with sauce and it was already spilled everywhere when he gave it to us. It stained my trousers in the car ride home.

Surprisingly poor food. Given the menu had some great choices. When the food arrived, we hardly ate anything. The sweet and sour cantonese style batter was soggy, the chicken in yellow bean sauce didnt taste anything like it should plus the chicken was sinuey and the beef dish was undercooked Red in centre and tough. The best thing of the meal was the Singapore noodles. This is the second worst Chinese meal ive ever had, the first being Lucky chinese in the same town. I assume there is no such thing as a decent Chinese takeaway in Burgess Hill or maybe even the whole of Sussex?

Tried 3 different Chinese takeaways in Burgess and this seems to be the best one, love the Crispy Chilly Beef and Kung Po Chicken. Really enjoyed their Crispy Duck plus we got a free beer with our order. Highly recommend

I ordered online earlier in the day ..easy to read menu .. had an email back to acknowledge order then later another to confirm order. It was ready for collection and the food was correct, hot and delicious!
