Dirty restaurant and unpleasant owner. Food not all home made. Out the freezer. Young waitresses were lovely.

Great whisky and food pairing, including scallops, venison and clottie pudding, all of which were perfectly cooked. We went there on a set tasting menu but it was so much more! The food was fantastic, made all the better by the fact that the chef...More

Amazing food that sits easily on par with any fine dining establishment in a city like london - but at a much lower price and at a very relaxed friendly and non-pretentious service. Great food and the chef is amazing. Her staff are also top...More

As we had friends and family traveling from far and wide to join us on our wedding day, we booked Alchemy for the evening before, to get everyone together for a dinner. I can't thank the staff at Alchemy enough for putting together a personal...More

Great food, cozy atmosphere, friendly service and a chef with passion. Serving up a really good haggis appetizer (from the loval butcher) and the best rib-eye steak. Could possibly like to have opted for something else than fries, but oh well.

We went here on Tuesday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. As previous post says there was no steak left at 7.30. The food we got was lovely, absolutely no complaints about that but waiting staff definitely need some training. Wrong wine delivered to table,...More

Could not fault the food but the service was mediocre at best. We went on steak night and at 7 o'clock ordered the last 3 rib-eye! Then ran out of sirloin on next table and turning customers away before 8 o'clock. Shame because the food...More

We were served a good dinner: tasty burger and goat cheese salad. Even though the town is rather quiet, the cook serves well prepared dishes wit a special touch.

Bold statement but we fell upon this place today on the way back from Aviemore. I am a burger obsessive and decided to go for the burger (surprise) and added smoked bacon and applewood cheese. What an actual delight this was. I've had burgers from...More

Dined here many years ago in one of its previous incarnations. Had a very good meal here recently with 3 friends. Tasty local dishes, the Cullen Skink was loved by all. I personally loved the Steak and Ale pie as did my wife. Accompanying wine...More
