Excellent food and warm, welcoming staff. The owner is an absolute joy. Definitely try the haggis! We were unfortunately rushing to another event otherwise we would have stayed for desserts and additional conversation with the lovely owner.

During our continuing Scotland road trip, left our rented farm house to have dinner in Dufftown. What an excellent choice! Highly recommend the traditional Scottish main. Course- smoked salmon, smoked venison, picked herring, chicken liver pate', salad, pickled veggies, cheeses, bread and oat cakes. Family...More

This was a delight. The atmosphere is friendly, the prices are more than reasonable - and the food is sheer delight. The cullen skink (smoked herring, potato and cream soup), with which we both started, was the best I've ever tasted. I followed it with...More

My wife and I ate here twice during our stay in Dufftown. The food is good, but you should really come for the atmosphere: Sandy, the owner and head chef, makes rounds to meet everyone and he's hilarious! You'll learn about anything from whisky, to...More

We ate here one night on our recent stay in Dufftown. It was just excellent, the food was so tasty, and good portion sizes, waitress and the chef both very nice and chatty. And great value for money.

The food is great, we had haggis, the cold platter as well as Ham&Haddie. The restaurant is run by a nice couple. Small but cozy place with a great selection of local whiskies.

Just picked this place out of a hat, and it was a great choice! A good selection of Scottish dishes, prepared very well. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was authentic! If I lived there....I would be a regular!

Small restaurant in a small town, but the service is excellent and the food was amazing. Chef/Owner Sandy was cooking the food and also came out to talk to us during dinner. It was like you were stepping into their home and he was cooking...More

We've been here many times and it never disappoints. Good food, good prices. It's a good place for tourists too, as well as for the locals, and a credit to this area.

Nina, absolutely! We swung by the restaurant on our way to Glennfiddich (which is within walking distance of town). We happened to meet the owner in passing and made a reservation for that night. When we arrived, he treated... More
