A little bit disappointed for such a highly rated small restaurant. Average food and limited choices. Won't go next time.

Good price - excellent taste - catch the local bus from resort for a dollar - don't look for any 4-5 star restaurant signage - more like a shed in the outback with doors closed and wire on windows - very normal for village life. Staff very welcoming- enjoy the experience

We always visit Tomlu's when in Fiji. The food is the freshest you will ever find, sometimes you will see them bringing the seafood straight in after catching it that day, the lobster is unreal, the prawns and crabs are beautiful, and the staff are just beautiful. Have a drink of Kava with the chef outside when you finish. Can... More

Lovely service & local food! It shows what is possible with local produce. Similar prices to resort but 1000 x the quality of the Shangri-La! Curries were great, prawns beautiful!

We had high expectations of this restaurant and were looking forward to it. We reserved a table the day before but when we got there, no table. They set us a table beside the counter. It is byo so we stopped at the bottleshop next door. The soup was great but the food very average. Service poor and atmosphere was... More

For a taste of local hospitality and cuisine please try Tomlu's. Nothing fancy but well prepared food and delightful Fugian service.

My family and I visited Tomlu's during our stay in Fiji and loved it. We have three kids aged 12,10 and 7 and Tomlu's catered to everyone's palette. Great food, very reasonable prices, excellent service and very friendly staff....can't wait to visit again.

I think the poor reviews of any place in a developing country are when people visit with the wrong mindset. From the outside 70% of people would never go in. Once in 30% of people would have their nose turned up. Once eat 85% of people will love it. Its Fiji people.... its a developing country. With the right mindset:... More

We had beautiful curry coconut cream mud crab there.... delectable! Cooked to perfection. Freshest mud crab you'd get. FJD$65 is a great deal!! Must try. We also ordered fish in butter & cognac source. It was pale compared to the mud crab. Still a good dish for FJD$33 for a massive fish. Kid had chicken omelet & reported it tasted... More

If you're looking to save a few dollars out of the resort try Geckos, Indiana, or Sigatoka instead. Food was very ordinary. Service was friendly but couldn't make up for the quality or lack of it.
