Absolutely love this place. Very welcoming for dogs even providing treats, water bowls and covers so that they can sit on the seat next to you. The food is absolutely excellent every time i go. The staff are always very friendly. The service is good. Nice inside and in general a really decent pub. Top marks from me

Previously eaten fish and chips here and was willing to come back and sample the same as it was so nice. Lovely atmosphere, staff and clearly very popular with locals and visitors. If you have a dog, it will be welcome!

Took partner and grandkids for Sunday lunch in sunny and bustling Tynemouth. We like the town despite the fact it's heaving pretty much year-round...! The Priory is really lovely. Yes, very doggy, but I don't notice the wall of dog smell others seem to complain of. Staff are quick to offer water bowls and dog biscuits. Friendly, polite and efficient... More

We call in this pub for lunch every few weeks and are never disappointed. Wide selection on the menu from snacks to full meals and also a great selection of beers, lagers and real ales. The 3 course winter warmer lunch at just £6.95 is great value!

Come here on a Saturday and they have band on at about 10pm every week. Consistently good and great atmosphere.

Great pub to socialise with friends at the weekend. There's a variety of musicians who play here and sometimes there is even some dancing . . . . Could get your beer spilled if you are not careful!!

We thank you for your pleasant feedback and I am glad to hear you enjoyed your food with us. We have recently refurbished one set of our toilets which is now the ladies (was previously the gents) hence why the toilets you used were a bit of a mess as they were the old ladies. But I am pleased to... More

Always been one of my favourite pubs in,but what is going on monday to thursday. When it gets to around 10pm bar staff begin to close up the pub which most customers seem to find quite intimadating.Considering closing time is not till 23.00/00.00 they are surely being a bit quick off the mark.If I owned this place I would be worried... Having visited this for lunch I was gobsmacked at the dire attitude of the bar staff, they seemed as if they didn't want to be there and found it amusing while stood at the end of the bar slagging off customers and where belittling another member of staff. There are many better places to go for food and a drink... More
