I recommend Sunday lunch here, ala carte is also excellent. An enjoyable view of the riverside and fish quay too.

My sister and I had Sunday lunch here today. We had three courses all of which were delicious. The service was also very good. Excellent quality food at a good price. Would definitely recommend and will return.
I have to admit as a family we are a bit tricky to accommodate as we are a mixed age group with two vegans in our family of 4. I had arranged via email and phone calls in advance if the vegans could be fed...More
Good food but experience made fab by excellent service and patience from lovely waitress. Only criticism is website prices and menu was not up to date.
With great views of the river Tyne, we love sitting by the window and watching river traffic passing by while we enjoy another lovely meal (and the odd drink too). River Cafe offers an excellent standard of cooking and menu choices plus their new Chef...More

My wife and I have visited River Cafe for both Sunday Lunch and mid week lunch in the last couple of weeks and while we found the Sunday Lunch OK, we much preferred to mid-week offering as there was much more choice and better value....More
What a hidden Gem, the food is amazing would highly recommend!!! My partner is a veggie so normally choices are limited when we eat out, however when we visited the River Cafe the chef was kind enough to make something that wasn't on the menu.
Amazing food and an incredible price - £7.95 for 3 courses! What a treat. The service was excellent and we had a fantastic view of the river. What more can you ask for?
