Only BUT in this place is food quality, have tried the food two times to give a shoot, but unfortunatly no succes..the meat was uneatable and that... More

Cafe/restaurant in the middle of Grimberg. Hip and trendy interior and a fine terrace in the sun. Had two coffee and no food, service was good (for Norwegian standards). You have to order your drink inside and they bring it out.

We were there for lunch, most people sit outside where sun shines through. The have alchol drinks and special beer from the place. Food section isn't too special, just pizza, burger, and some little dish like salad pasta and three main course you can choose from. The pizza was good, we think the pizza dough was the highlight. It is... More

Hmm odd place. Food is mediocre - American style - young crowd and lots of smokers in the garden. Ibsen was an apotheker in Grimstad... I would not go again

This is a prettily decorated bar that serves food as well. The decor is antiques but a bit shabby chic as well, very cute. They do pizzas, burgers and a couple of fish dishes-the fish was OK. They have their own microbrewery beer , but as it's Norway, all the alcohol is very expensive, as is the food.

I had read some pretty nice review about this place and I was very much looking forward to try the food. We were two of us eating two different types of fish. They were both good, but nothing special. I think this is a better place for food and adult beverages for a night out with pub food. I will... More

Hi there. I'm sorry that the fish didn't hold up to your expectations, although it's a good thing you do have high expectations for us at Apotekergaarden :) The meny will be revisited before the summer season and we'll make shure that we take another look at the fish items. Thanks for the review! More

Grimstad, despite being charming isn't exactly the busiest place, in fact in late May, which is when I'm here it's almost a ghost town. Whatever is happening in this town seems to be happening here and my lord what a place. It's a cafe, cum restaurant, cum brewery with some form of exciting game upstairs. I'm sitting at a table... Grimstad is a small town, and there aren't too many nice restaurants and bars. This place is both! Good food, including bar food and more fancy stuff. And locally brewed beer! The place is big (it's an old apothecary) so there's room for both the rowdy and the romantics. Cabaret shows and concerts during the summer, football on big screens... More

Description
We are a gastropub/restaurant located in the middle of Grimstad, with a beautiful outdoor seating area, right next to the main pedestrian street. The building is in an old pharmacy with second hand furniture. The style of both our customers, staff and food is relaxed and informal. The food is made on the premises by our friendly chefs. From springtime 2013 we have our handcrafted beer either on tap or bottle. The first beers have received good feedback both from customers and beer sites online.
