The portion sizes have reduced over the years which might not be a bad thing. As I hate to leave good. Never had a bad meal. Love... More

Went with some Cypriot friends, ordered Cypriot dishes and the food was awful, our friends were very embarrassed. Mamas Moussaka was the worst I've ever had. Taverna is popular with expats but, I have no idea why, not expensive but poor quality all round.

We asked for some suggestions on restaurants to eat in on tripadvisor before our first ever visit to Cyprus and ate in as many as we could in the time. One of our favourites was this place. We strolled along from Protaras on the coastal path and eventually found Pinia and it was very good indeed. Sat on the terrace,... More

Lovely taverna to visit and sit under the vines. Frequented by locals and completely unpretentious. Good service from the gentleman who has been there for 20 years. House red wine good but noticed the locals drink ouzo and water with their meals which I must try next time. Stick to the Cypriot dishes as these are all freshly cooked by... More

I visited Pinia with friends when I was in Cyprus 3 years ago and visited again several times on this visit to Cyprus. Lovely, friendly people and the best Mousaka I have ever tasted anywhere in Greece/Cyprus. Will visit again on my next trip to Cyprus.

This is a traditional Greek restaurant which is away from the main areas of Pernera being about a 10 minute stroll from the Crystal Springs Hotel and a 5 minute stroll from the Golden Sands Hotel. Although it is next to a road the eating area is very nicely situated under a grapevine and the in the evening lighting was... More

Went for dinner with Family , it's the end of the season so it was quiet , food was excellent we had meat meze but we made the mistake of having starters as the portions were loads , kids enjoyed their dinner and they are fussy eaters , house wine was excellent. It's a family run restaurant and they were... More

Their meat meze is great and offers many tasty dishes. I went there for both fish meze and meat meze and i must confess that i wasn't so excited with their fish meze which was rather average. After all the place doesn't sell itself as a fish tavern. Having said that, i would highly recommend it for meat.

I went here with my girlfriend to eat some cypriot food and we were very happy we did. We ate meze and everything was delicious (and plentiful). Especially the stifado was very good. It is located a bit away from the main tourist street wich is nice and the outside terrace was cosy. Would definitely visit again.

We couldn't wait to visit Pinia again after being away from Cyprus for 2 years. What a surprise and a big let down! Don't get me wrong, the staff are still the same and as always really friendly, but the food quality and presentation has dropped considerably. It's not so traditional anymore as they now put everything on one plate... More
