Highly recommend

We just popped in to the Hippocampus Lounge on our first night and were lucky enough to get a table. All staff we dealt with were professional and absolutely lovely. The food was amazing, so delicious, well presented and reasonably priced. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Return visit but menu disappointed

Been here a few times before. Before the restaurant was refurbished. I have got to say even though the place is lovely and the food was nice. I was disappointed with the menu. Not as many choices as before to accommodate everyone’s tastes. We always...have the hippocampus garlic bread. Then main I could not find anything in the pastas that I liked so opted for the club sandwich which was delicious and had a basket of chips and salad. Nice but not a wide variety of choice on menu.More

Best Restaurant we ate at.

Great cocktails (especially the Amaretto Sour!) and lovely food. The portion sizes are big and good value for money. It’s a beautiful restaurant too. Highly recommended.

Great Rooftop & food

Lovely rooftop with a very good vibe. Good background music - good service (friendly staff) & nice food. We enjoyed our night!

Best Restaurant in Cyprus

Best restaurant my partner and I have been to in Cyprus. The food is amazing especially with their selection of vegan options. The Vegan Noodles were top tier. The wine (according to my partner) is the best wine she’s ever had. Amazing halloumi appetiser as...well. Plus some very nice pancakes. Staff are very welcoming and friendly also.More

Very tasty food and friendly staff

First time in Protaras and we were tired from the trip and took the first restaurant that we saw and it was super. Very nice place and food was so good! We took some curry noodles and seafood pasta, very good! We will go there...again.More

Value for miney

Was recommended by my daughter in law. It was busy downstairs, but they had two terraces which we went to have our meal. Large portions good value. Friendly staff

Fantastic Rooftop Seating Area

Fantastic restaurant with a great rooftop seating area. Service was excellent as was the food. We eat here a couple of times and would say it was the best place we eat at while in Cyprus.

Wonderful location

This was recommended to us by friends & they were not wrong. We booked a table in the rooftop restaurant as we’d been told the views were lovely. We were taken to a lovely table & the views were great plus it was a very...hot evening but there was a very welcome breeze that made dining a joy. The staff were very attentive & informative about the menu choices. We had a lovely cocktail & then the food was delicious. It was served beautifully & was all freshly cooked. The location is good as it’s on the main strip & we will definitely visit againMore

Great vegan menu

Came to this place as I heard they had a vegan menu and was really impressed! I had the falafel tacos and they were great, found it so hard to choose something as the food all looked amazing! Definitely recommend😄

One of the best meals I've ever eaten

We dined on the rooftop terrace. Beautiful food and wine fantastic service and great ambience.The waitres was exceptional, helping with choice of wine to accompany the food Definitely recommend this place.

Perfect dining experience

Absolutely perfect in every sense, a beautiful restaurant that serves amazing food and has brilliant service. On top of the experience being 10 out of 10 the prices were incredibly good value. Recommended 100%

Excellent up market restaurant

Came to Protaras from ayia napa by taxi as we love the main strip here looking for a nice fancy restaurant & the hippocampus fitted the bill perfectly, looks plush & up market. Friendly welcome when asking for a table & quickly seated. Drinks ordered...1st then food soon after, I fancied a steak so went for the T-bone & my wife the lamb shank with a few alternatives from the menu, which was no problem. Food arrived about 20 minutes later piping hot & as ordered both absolutely delicious. my wife wanted a dessert so had the rainbow macaroons & me an espresso martini both delicious again. All in all an excellent experience with great service, excellent food and all reasonably priced, highly recommended & will definitely return.More
