What's not to love about this place! We were greeted with a cheerful welcome, great selection of food. Quick service with complimentary nibbles. All served on lovely crockery. Lovely soup and bread and amazing scones. So much more than an average cafe.

We always stop at this great little tea room whenever we visit Buttermere. In summer, sitting outside with a homemade ice cream is a perfect end to a walk round the lake!

With luxurious, imaginative, tasty, home-baked cakes it seemed impossible not to be spoiled-rotten. The friendly, family-run, cosy, atmosphere, made our visit...More

This place is becoming a regular haunt of ours, while visiting the area on days out. Handy being able to park for free right outside. Nice friendly staff, nice surroundings, and tasty sandwiches, or panninis, what we usually have, and the ham is excellent quality....More

There is a pay and display parking area very close by. Otherwise you can usually park for free on the lane on the slope leading to the cafe!
