Yes, the restaurant is attached to a petrol station. Yes, the restaurant is a little ramshackle. Yes, the lighting is harsh Yes, you enter in where you pay for your fuel BUT the food is absolutely sensational. Every dish we had was brilliant. JUST GO...THERE.More
But not only the pizza; The meats (tagliata, fiorentina, salami, ham, etc), pastas and desserts are also delicious and not expensive at all. When I come to Val d'Orcia (which tends to be once a year) I always eat here at least twice and it's...always an amazing experience.More
Astounding food, great service, look out the window at Tuscany! We're in San Quirico d'Orcia for a month, and have tried most of the restaurants around. We started down the TripAdvisor list, got some local suggestions, and randomly picked some. Il Garibaldi is far and...away the best nearby for seafood! They will now be on our regular rotation. I had the Tagliatelli with whatever-came-off-the-boat, and SWAMBO had fried whatever-came-off-the-boat. Outstanding! The fagioli with herbs and olive oil was very good indeed. The kitchen even made patate fritti crunchy enough to please my wife. Yes, there's a gas station out front. Some of the best food I've had has been in gas stations. Get over it! Sit by a window in the back. Enjoy yourself.More
The food is ok and the waiters are nice but the atmosphere is a bit ruined by the fact that it is literally next to a gas station.More
Non ti eri accorto prima di sederti che avevamo una stazione di benzina vicino??? Pensavi che durante la cena sparisse???...More
Amazing food and service! The pasta and fiorentina are incredible. You must go if you visit San Quirico. Totally recommended!
We came here because friends recommended the restaurant, and it was totally worth it. Super friendly people and the food was amazing. I‘ve eaten the best pizza in my life, but also the pasta was super delicious. We even came back a second time because...it was so good :)More
Don’t get discouraged by how it looks from the outside. It’s located at a gas station. The interior is outdated and basic but my gosh.. the dinner and the people!!! Super delicious Tuscan food, SEAFOOD, pizza, plenty of wine. Cheap and fresh, super nice staff....Book it prior to your holidays cause it’s full (of locals) every night. No outside tables available but there’s plenty of space inside. Very nice experience!More
We waited half an hour for a water and another 20min to get a bier. Glass for a bier never came. We ordered tagliata and some grilled vegetables, a mixed salad and fries. The meat was overbaked and dry. The vegetables were not baked enough,...just quickly thrown on the grill, no taste at all. The bread basket had two types of bread in, one was simmilar to pizza dough and was delicious. I suppose best part of the meal, unfortunately. We waited again to get a new water. So basically everything was average or below. Do not recomend this restaurant, you can find so much better in this region.More
Relax.. Sei in vacanza.. Siete in molti in vacanza.. Noi no.. Non guardare l orologio.. Relax.. Relax.. Ommmmmmm👌 Ommmmmmm👌
We had dinner at Il Garibaldi on a Friday night. All Saints Day weekend and the place was full. I was glad we had made a reservation. The patrons were all speaking Italian. One of the waitresses spoke English so we had no problem ordering,...Our dinner was absolutely delicious! The chocolate ricotta pie was amazing. The food is unique and beautifully prepared. The restaurant is basically one huge room with (too) bright lighting and 50’s decor. Somehow it all works. This was my favorite restaurant in San Quirico.More
The restaurant was recommended to us by our AirBnB host, her exact words were its not pretty but the food is very good. Location is a bit weird, its in a garage, but once inside you would even notice. The staff were super friendly and...the food was very good indeed. We had the Roast beef and vegetables and the Octopus. House wine was as good too. For dessert we shared a Tiramisu which was excellent, accompanied by coffee and Grappa. Beware the Grappa is strong but good. I highly recommend you try this restaurant when you are in the area.More
4 course dinner for € 25,- Lovely, good food. Also locals are coming for dinner. Nice waitress, they speak a little english, so you can practice your italian....
This is where the locals eat, no nonsense pizza & pasta of all sorts . One can even get fish & chips . beside petrol station. Try liver terrine and strips of tender beef called tagliata with pasta or chips . They have home cooked...pastry tarts .quick service and cheap .More
Thank you, thank you and thanks again for your wonderful review. See you soon... Luca and the staff
The restaurant located at a gas station and seams simple and not promising you enter and the menu gives you a variety of food. We tried to taste as much as we can and each dishes where amazing tasty an d with a special flavor....The is no doubt that the restaurant was one of the best I have eat in this region. This in not a restaurant you want to miss.More
coming late, close to 9pm, the restaurant was almost full with locals. good sign from a touristic perspective. came here based on TripAdvisor search and were not dissappointed. great pizza, excellent gnocci and good service with almost no waiting time for food. nice staff. you...would not expect this by just looking on the surface, outside seats located just behind a gas station. never get distracted by the exteriors!More
