Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews

When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had an overnight stay in the carpark of The Butchers Arms pub in our Camper. As well as being campervan friendly, the pub is family run with very friendly staff, they serve a great range of ales and they offer a good range of...home cooked food. Whilst parking is free, we took the option of electric hook up for a nominal fee to save using our gas for the heating; given the freezing outside temperatures it was probably a wise choice. We had a drink in the afternoon then we went back into the pub in the evening to sample their victuals. We can testify that the pies are scrumptious, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. By the time we had finished our meal along with a few drinks, we were well and truly stuffed. (Might have to leave the side orders next time.) The locals were friendly and we were even invited to join in some birthday celebrations though we had to decline on the grounds that a good night’s sleep awaited. We would recommend The Butchers Arms to anyone but particularly motorhome or campervan users as Mickleton village centre is a short stroll and there is plenty more in the region to explore if you fancy driving or using public transport. If however, your New Year’s resolution is to lose weight, you had better order your food from the children’s menu.More

This is a fabulous, friendly place to drink and eat. Everyone was so friendly, the food was delicious. The setting is so lovely with real fires at both ends. It was a busy place so it shows you how appreciated it is. The owners and...their 2 gorgeous dogs were lovely. I miss being there as there are not enough places like this anymore. Thank you allMore

Amazing pub with real friendly staff and even amazing food n drinks. It was a minute walk from three ways hotel where we stayed and we had the best meal here and was nice and cosy . Also noticed it was dog friendly which was...an added bonus for people with their 4 legged friends .(wish I had one too) The team was friendly and approachable and you would feel an friendly ambience and local pub feel as people knew each other .. something the big cities lack .. would definitely come again on our next visit to cots world . P.S : don’t miss the pies , they are amazingMore

My partner and I visited on 26th August. We had a light lunch and later a full meal and the food and drink was excellent. In the afternoon there was a visit by a group of locals who apparently have a once a month get...together which created a really nice atmosphere. The evening was busy. being a Friday but not too crowded to spoil our enjoyment.More

Our family (2 adults, 2 teens) from the US enjoyed a fantastic dinner here. It’s a cosy local pub. There is an outdoor seating area but a few people were smoking so we sat inside. There were very few people but everyone was friendly.

Great local pub . Welcoming landlord and staff. Locals all spoke to us. We had booked a table which was nicely placed in the corner near the fire. We had excellent starters, We had starters one was haloumi and the other Prawns. Both excellent. I...had the game pie and my wife had the Black and Blue Burger which she says was the best she has ever had. The burger came with chips but my wife asked if she could have salad instead which they did and what an excellent salad it was. The young lady who served behind the bar was helpful polite and cheerful. It was a great evening excellent meal and excellent company . I have noticed many positive reviews on here and they have said everything I would have saidMore
