First visit, expecting it to be good.e. Tasteful decor, lighting and seating, we were promptly welcomed and given menus in the waiting area. We opted to wait for drinks until everyone arrived. We were taken to our table, seated, but had to call a waiter...over to order drinks. Food-wise, we ordered and waited a while for the starters to arrive (in my view a good thing as it proved the items were cooked properly and not rushed out) Two of our party opted for prawn cocktail followed by steaks; they both said were excellent. I personally went for prawn puri (one of my go-to starters), which was really good and a good portion size also),plus the gol gappa/pani puri - which I had read about but never tried. When this was brought to the table the manager explained how you should eat it, a nice touch, and we shared these, everyone liked them. My main was paneer kali mirch - very tasty. The others had Bhuna, Dahl, mixed grill, tikka masala and breads. Every meal was well cooked, and the breads were really well cooked. As an aficionado of Indian food (eating out or cooking at home) , I can say the food was excellent. We had to call the waiter once again for the bill, so apart from the slight lack of attentiveness to order drinks/get the bill (the restaurant was not busy), everything else was really good. I’d put this in one of my top ten Indian restaurants, and certainly visit again when the opportunity arises.More
