Pros: location (in the middle of town), atmosphere (upscale but homey), food (incredible taste and size of meal), service Cons: opening hours...make sure to check them ahead of time I rarely rate restaurants but this one deserves it. I went to this restaurant in Astorga while I was doing the "Camino de Santiago" last November 2015 and it is excellent. Cocido Maragato is very well prepared here, very good, even excellent. You will eat a lot here, what ever you can and with a very very good quality. I fully recommend to all the pilgrims to be recovered... More

Perfect place where to taste real Astorga's gastronomy. As I come from Madrid I was a bit suspicious regarding cocido style but it surpassed all my expectations. In this restaurant you can only have the traditional 'cocido maragato' stew. There a re no more options. You have diferent kinds of meat including chorizo and ham, cheek peas with cabagge and vermicelli soup. The menu includes water and wine, soft drinks also available.
