Stopped for cod and chips whilst visiting Usk. Fish and chips were cooked fresh and were well worth waiting for. Would recommend them.

Took advantage of a sunny Saturday to eat fish and chips from here in the nearby square. The cod was excellent, the batter as it should be and the chips plentiful and well-cooked. My only criticism is that the mushy peas were of the processed variety and not, therefore, a pleasant addition.

The chips can vary from amazing to pretty greasy and awful. As a regular visitor I am happy to say I have had some of the best fish and chips ever from here. The fish bites are particularly good value and they offer a good selection of curry sauces. However it seems to be a bit 60/40 as to whether... More

I stay away a lot and instead of eating in harvesters and beefeaters, I like to find and support local businesses. I had passed this place a few times and the sign advertising mackerel , mullet and faggots with peas intrigued me. My cod was cooked to order with crispy batter, the chips were nicely crispy on the outside and... More

Stopped in Usk on a sunny afternoon in spring. Chips weren't the best, asked for Irish curry sauce only to find out it was like blooming water. My hubby had a sausage in batter which was greasy and tasted yuk. They were serving cod that was swimming in grease and unpalatable. The staff need to be taught how to cook... More

This is not a good fish and chip shop. It is one the pricer side and some of the staff are downright rude. When I got my meal home it was swimming in grease. Yuk!

I took my family from Indonesia there a couple of years ago, after a long day playing around there area working up an appetite.. What a great experience. They were hooked immediately and cant wait to go back. The Plaice was superb, and I realise its tricky to get hold of decent plaice these days. See you in June :-)

Wide choice of really well cooked fish and chips with additional main meals. Bright cheerful premises, friendly staff and first class ingredients combined with reasonable prices. Highly recommended on all accounts.
