This was a Lonely Planet recommendation and it's a good one. We stopped for a quick lunch whilst on a boat visit. My wife's octopus salad and my anchovy pasta with pistachios were both really delicious, freshly made and served with a smile. It was good Sicilian home cooking. You sit on a terrace looking out to sea - a... More

Not only does this restaurant have the most amazing view, it has your true authentic sicillian cusine. I love Paolo, Loredana and Caterina. What a joy to dine in one of the finest restaurants in the world. We will be back to Panarea with our first stop to Trattoria da Paolino. Baci.....

Good trattoria style restaurant. Menu mostly local fish and some pasta specialties. We had a nice antipasto platter with marinated fish and vegetables. I had pasta with wonderful wild fennel sauce. A real treat. The only thing to criticise is the house red wine which was mediocre. This is an area dominted by white wine so I should have known... More

We stopped here when we took the aeolian islands mini cruise to see stromboli by night. We figured that something off the main street must offer decent food to continue existing. The staff we're not the super enthusiastic kind but the menu looked ok. We ordered two pastas and both tasted fine. Mine with the swordfish didn't have too much... More

We always get utterly confused whenever we look up reviews on Trip Advisor to find a restaurant. The first guy (owner?) had the time of his life while the next guy (his competitor across the street?) got sick for 3 days.... So here is a modest attempt to give you a genuine tourist impression of the place. The restaurant looked... More

excellent seafood in a bustling and friendly family-run place - lively and noisy, better for a group than a quiet romantic dinner. a welcome alternative to the fancier places on the island

The food is average and the service poor. We had to ask twice for cutlery after it was taken away with the empty starters, despite the main courses being already in front of us. The place just lacks atmosphere and it feels like a wasted night in the wonderful Panarea island.

What a treasure this little out of the way restaurant was. We were met by a very obliging young man named Sebastiano. He had enough English to make him self understood however having the Italian language ourselves we were to be entertained for a lovely lunch. The owner sat next to our table entertaining some friends and watched and suggested what... Had a great lunch here, simple un-fussy food prepared in a very traditional Sicilian style, as Nonna would make it. (As close to my Sicilian Nonnas cooking as I've ever had!) I had grilled prawns which were fresh and cooked perfectly, the caponata is super tasty and their eggplant cake was surprisingly delicious also. Seems more of a local haunt... More
