This was not our first visit neither will it be our last. We ate here about three times on this break and it never disappoints. Volker and his wife make you so welcome. The food is so delicious. My first meal was the pulled pork...bap, wow so tasty, Paul had the special bratwurst and really enjoyed it. We had the last meal of our holiday here, Sunday roast. Volker made me a coffee bonbon, it was amazing but can only have one, so fattening! We absolutely love eating here and can't wait to come backMore

We called in en spec as we’d overheard how great it was at a race meeting. We were asked if we’d booked to which we hadn’t as we only wanted a sandwich which I’m not sure was actually on the menu given the amazing looking...Sunday lunches coming out but the lovely lady said she could offer us a roast meat sandwich. We were happily shown to a lovely table and we chose the beef which was delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff were lovely, service was great including a floor walk from Volke who checked his customers were happy (they were!) and the bill was excellent value. We will definitely be back 😊More

I'm not usually impressed with roast dinners away from home. The quality, quantity and value of the food at The Old Station far exceeded my hopes, let alone expectations. My wife is vegetarian and quite often struggles to find a decent Sunday dinner out. Her...vegetable lasagne was, in her words, the best lasagne she's ever had. Myself and two friends had the beef roast. The plates were filled, tender and tasty beef was hiding everywhere, the selection of vegetables was cooked perfectly and it was served with gravy so good that I desperately wanted to lick the plate clean! All four of us left feeling completely satisfied and unable to squeeze pudding in. The food is freshly cooked, so there will be a little wait but, by 'eck, it is definitely worth it!. Really amazing food, lovingly cooked. Some amazing German options too if you fancy that, or more typical options too. I had Bavarian sausage, and the wife had poached eggs and bacon. Both really amazing! Really great to find somewhere with something a little different and...Volker is an absolute pleasure to chat to with loads of amazing stories. I think this will be a regular stop for us! Some brilliant specials too which look amazing for lunch, and I can’t wait to get back to try some of them!More

We have Sunday lunch at the Old Station Cafe-Bistro every week! We have tried other establishments in the vicinity and have concluded that here the food is of a consistently high standard, the premises are sparkling and Volke the chef is always pleasant and cheerful....Orders are taken promptly on arrival, and food is served in rotation. This is not Macdonald's, where the food is sat keeping semi warm! In the Old Station, food is cooked to order so a little wait is inevitable. When the fully laden plate arrives however, the waiting time is forgotten. I have never heard anyone complain about the food, (or anything else!) in all the time we have been going to this excellent establishment! Wonderful value for money too!!!More

Volker has a strange approach to customer service - completely unhelpful! A extremely slow inflexible service and Volker doesn’t inspire confidence in the hygiene. Go to Bordar House Teas in the market square instead! Friendly, great environment and excellent food.

Fantastic Sunday lunch here, totally recommend it . You need to pre book otherwise you will be disappointed.

My partner and I saw the cafe sign from the road, so stopped off entirely on a whim. We're glad we did. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff. We chose roast chicken lunch from the Sunday menu and weren't disappointed. The...food was amazing and the portions very generous. I would definitely recommend the Old Station Cafe and Bistro at Masham. We hope to come back again soon as the breakfasts look superb. :-)More

Called in for breakfast on a day trip round the Dales. The owner gave us a warm welcome. The breakfasts were brilliant and reasonably priced. This was our first visit but certainly won't be the last. We are looking forward to our return visit.
