Yes the beautiful conservatory looks amazing looking out at the sea and everyone seems to say the food is good BUT DO NOT BOOK A ROOM!!!!! The rooms are very old and half the things in the room are broken. To top it all when we arrived I went to use the toilet only to discover there was urine already... More

We were visiting for weekend and came to Porthcawl for lunch on Saturday. Food was freshly prepared and the staff extremelybattentive and friendly. Fish, chips and mushy peas e're fresh, tasty and expertly presented. The boiled and roasted chicken in mushroom sauce was delicious too. We had such a great time that we booked a table for Sunday lunch too,and we... More

I regularly pop in here for a drink and packet of crisps with my children, or a meal with friends and family, when I am back visiting my childhood home. The staff are friendly and welcoming and it's always lovely to see Gaynor who is always so cheerful and happy to help. I enjoyed a lovely meal last time I... More

No vegetarian options to speak of cheap tacky furniture and paper serviettes hardly what I would expect in a hotel more like Macdonalds. The only thing going for it in my opinion is the views! The meat options looked better from what my friends ate I ate very little and sent the second course back and ate chips they were... More

All I can say is Wow Wow and Woe again. .tonight I went with my family to have a lovely meal and we had exactly that. The standard of food was beyond amazing. It did everything a special meal out should.. It pleased my taste buds and exceeded my expectations of how amazing something as mundane as a cooked dinner... More

It was their lunchtime menu which was £12.95 for 2 courses. I had the walnuts with beetroot and frais. This was delicious and well presented. For the main I ordered the chicken with cous cous and lemon. There was plenty of it and tasted very good. I had a bottle of Australian chardonnay which complimented the meal nicely.

Me and my partner went to the Fairways for a celebratory meal just the two of us. The service was great more than helpful. The food was out of this world my partner still talks about the mixed grill now, the best he has ever had. I had kebab and that was amazing, for the food and drinks the price... More

Came here for a quiet weekend only to find a baby shower going on with children running everywhere, so we were forced to go else where to enjoy our day. On our return whilst booking for our QUIET evening meal we we had to put up with cattling people in the same room. I'm up for people having a good... More

This restaurant was a lovely place overlooking the sea - pity the food was terrible! We had Sea Bass and Garlic Mash, with green beans. The beans were obviously frozen tasted of water the garlic mash was grey and tasteless and the fish was overdone. The staff were pleasant but no-one asked us if we enjoyed it - maybe because... Visited for Sunday lunch and chose the carvery as before. The staff we all very helpful and attentive but the food was not as good as several previous visits, cold plates, luke warm food, and veg that was either overdone (carrots, yorkshires) or underdone (sprouts). The orangery was full booked and we ate in the restaurant which was fine, just... More
