Table for 4 where we all chose off the Christmas menu. The food was superb, the staff very accommodating providing 1st class silver service, and the character of the place was really warm and friendly. Can't wait to visit again in the future.

Said to be Padiham's oldest building, with old architectural features and paraphernalia incorporated into the current arrangements, creating a lovely warm atmosphere. Three large rings of black pudding with a mustard sauce was a delight for an exiled Lancastrian on a rare visit north, this was a plateful and perhaps more in... More

You can't go wrong at The Cellar, the food never let's you down. A huge choice on the Menu and Specials, you can have your steak done about 10 different ways. Good portions, great veg and as much as you like and if you like a pudding you will find all the old classics waiting for you.

This is the second time myself and my partner have been to the cellar; cannot praise the staff or restaurant enough! We went on a Saturday and they have a really wide selection on the menu and specials board. We had a bottle of champagne, two additional rounds of drinks including two starters, mains (monk fish and fillet steak) and... More

We went on a Sunday evening, clearly this is a very quiet day, I chose for my mains Steak Diane, firstly they do not use fillet steak for this meal which is what this meal should be served with, my meal arrived with a piece of flat steak smothered in what resembled a thick gravy. Being a very popular restaurateur,... More

It is quite a quirky place with low ceilings and with wooden beams - it was a hostelry many years ago. I think it now has it's name from the fact that the cellar now forms part of the restaurant and has an arched ceiling. Have been here several times both with my wife and with groups of male friends.... More
