This restaurant takes its name from the vaulted ceiling to part of the dining area. It is reputed to be the oldest building in Padiham. The menu is wide-ranging and the food very good, friendly, attentive service. Warm in winter. The cellar part of the restaurant is down steps, but there is a ramp off the street and no other... Table for 4 where we all chose off the Christmas menu. The food was superb, the staff very accommodating providing 1st class silver service, and the character of the place was really warm and friendly. Can't wait to visit again in the future.

Said to be Padiham's oldest building, with old architectural features and paraphernalia incorporated into the current arrangements, creating a lovely warm atmosphere. A quite extensive menu for a small venue. Three large rings of black pudding with a mustard sauce was a delight for an exiled Lancastrian on a rare visit north, this was a plateful and perhaps more in... More

You can't go wrong at The Cellar, the food never let's you down. A huge choice on the Menu and Specials, you can have your steak done about 10 different ways. Good portions, great veg and as much as you like and if you like a pudding you will find all the old classics waiting for you.

This is the second time myself and my partner have been to the cellar; cannot praise the staff or restaurant enough! We went on a Saturday and they have a really wide selection on the menu and specials board. We had a bottle of champagne, two additional rounds of drinks including two starters, mains (monk fish and fillet steak) and... More
