Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had not been here for a while so were looking forward to a visit. Oh dear! Eye-wateringly expensive ! Weary coffee, so-so cakes. What a shame - lovely location but we will not be back 🫤

We called in for a late lunch only to be inundated with 100s of motorbikes. The coffee was lukewarm, the bacon was obviously reheated. How disappointing. Very expensive. Won't be going again !

Had a great lunch here, all the food was excellent, my wife had the quiche and salad, all fresh and tasty, and I had the best steak pie I can remember since my mum's from fifty years ago. The steak was plentiful, tender and juicy...accompanied by great chips, healthy and tasty veg, and great gravy. We alll had orange juice freshly made while we watched. We followed it with huge ice cream cones which were almost like two scopes rather than one. Service was both friendly and prompt. As well as the quality of the food, it's also in a great spot. We all really enjoyed it and I look forward to coming back to have their full English breakfast!More

I've visited the tearoom over many years. The food and drinks are fine, staff friendly, but, service can be very slow. So much time is wasted queueing to place an order, leaving friends sitting waiting. I appreciate prices have risen everywhere, but... £7 for a...bowl of vegetable soup?!More

What a lovely spot , ample parking. The whole place is spotless and the food was amazing. Very helpful and pleasant staff. There is a small garden center in the car park and the lady was incredibly helpful

On a particularly chilly day, we arrived at 2.15pm to find the fire nearly out and everyone around us in their jackets. There was no warm and cosy corner to be found. Both my husband and I chose the coffee and walnut cake and agreed that...it tasted distinctly strange, with a synthetic after taste. We left colder than when we had arrived and not so keen to return.More

Had a wonderful Christmas Dinner at this super tearoom. Fantastic food, great choice and served in lovely surroundings next to the woodburning stove. The mulled wine was fantastic. There is lots of choice apart from the festive menu, lots of parking and a warm welcome.

A lovely autumnal day perfect for a ride out. Lovely food (cottage pie with veg) and friendly. Sat outside overlooking the little river. Excellent. Little gift shop was okay with some nice bits. However, the children’s roundabout is in need of serious maintenance so risky....The garden centre is amateurish and messy. Definitely go back.More

We stopped in here during our cycle of the Way of the Roses just a few minutes before they were closing and we were very relieved when they were kind enough to still serve us some truly delicious cake and tea. Friendly team.

Service from order to serving is really slow. This is bad enough, but on at least two occasions the staff have lost my order. We have waited for ages to be served and then finally gone back inside to see what had happened to our...order, to be met by a blank stare. Then they realised they had misplaced the order and offered us a perfunctory apology. The food is goodMore

Tom and I called in today, our first visit!! The tearoom was busy and as it is midweek that is always a good sign. We chose homemade chicken, mushroom and leek pie. Considering they were so busy, we didn’t have long to wait. When it...arrived it was obviously hot…..a good start and looked very appetising with well cooked broccoli and homemade chips. The whole meal was delicious, but the pie went over and beyond expectations……the best we had ever had…….apart from mine of course 👩🏼‍🍳 A BIG THANK YOUMore

Spotted a small sign as passing and called into for lunch. Sign doesn’t do the tea room justice although there is a higher sign which I saw afterwards. I’ve passed by before. Lovely tea room, home made food and a variety of cakes which looked...delicious but we didn’t sample. Had a main course which was tasty although fairly expensive- tho good quality and big portions . Coffee was good and I enjoyed this . Would go again if nearby - busy tho. Parking next door.More

First time we have visited Bridge House Farm Tea rooms. It’s a lovely place with very nice staff. We had coffees and cakes that were very nice. They serve a Sunday lunch that looked good. Maybe next time

Four of us visited whilst out cycling. The ladies who served us were friendly with delicious cakes on offer. They offered to top up our water bottles with chilled water. We'd definitely visit again.

I’m sitting here writing this review in the early hours of the morning feeling really horrible. I attended the bike night last week and bought a coffee from inside the building (as opposed to queuing for a burger outside). There were two ladies on duty...at the time I bought to £2.50 cappuccino. It was served in a paper cup and these were pulled from a stack by holding them around the rim with a (gloved?) hand that had handled cash a few minutes before. Presumably this process was repeated many many times throughout the event. It seemed a funny thing to do at the time but I’m now concerned that after managing to avoid any COVID related conditions over the last year and a half that the procedures here weren’t the best.More
