We called in for tea and cake after a very wet Sunday morning walk in the surrounding countryside. It wasn't obvious that the tea room was open (the street window is quite small), it is very cosy outside and was ideal for warming/drying out. Good points: + Friendly service and good value + Excellent selection of cakes and light meals... More

Had two small mugs of filter coffee cost £5. The baking all looked lovely and fresh. Things seem to be freshly prepared but the general pricing seemed high. Very attentive couple running the business.

My husband and I had a recommendation from our friends and we were certainly not disappointed. The food was homemade and presented in an excellent manner. The soup was hot and tasty with a toastie sandwich on the side. The tea was in a good sized teapot with hot water as well. We both thought we would try a dessert... More

We had a lovely light lunch here and it was a perfect Sunday afternoon activity. We were visiting with our 3 year old and he was particularly well looked after! The food and the service were both perfect, the apple pie in particular went down a treat. We will certainly be back on our next visit to the area. I... More

Quirky and attractive old cafe set a few yards back from the main road. Friendly service. Not a very large menu (not a bad thing... doing a few things well is often good) but what we had was decent, and the freshly-made specials looked good. Prices... a little on the high side of average, but we were happy with our... More

After getting slightly lost on a moor back road to Gargrave, we stumbled onto this little place, glad we did. It was bitterly cold outside and we were immediately welcomed into the cafe, it was warm and cosy, just the ticket. We browsed the menu and specials board and both opted for a cup of homemade soup and slice of... More

We stopped here on the way to Leeds. The cakes and quiche were really special and I loved the 1930s music playing in the background. It's in a pretty stone cottage, very close to a car park and just off the A65, so really convenient.

We called in for coffee and cake but decided not to stay. There was a lack of welcome but more so there was a very musty smell, not sure what it was but it put us off ordering so we left.
