Outstanding service as always. Friendly and welcoming. The food was superb and we were waited on brilliantly. We had a fondue, burger (adapted to a fussy eater), and pasta dish. Looking forward to our next visit.

My wife and I just had the most delicious and amazing dinner. Our host was both warm and most importantly humourous and we had a wonderful dinner of raclette, delicious wine and incredible local ice cream. I know it was a great meal as we...both ate far too much!!! A genuinely excellent place to eat ☺️More
Great attentive service. The server was sweet and sincere. But the food was terrible. From the first mouthful it was obvious it was not going to be a good experience. The onion soup tasted like dish water. The caille which was the suggestion du jour...was cold and over cooked. It tasted like it had been reheated after several days. The aperitif was great! Thé assiette de fromage was good but it was served far too cold. This might sound picky, but we are in France! The server offered us a digestive which was good but didn’t make up for the quality of the food. It seems like the chef was not present on this particular day…More
With a vegetarian in tow it was difficult to find much on most local restaurant menus apart from fondue, but we managed to get a good meal here and they also made adjustments to one dish to accommodate. Altogether everything was good tasty and hot....Set menu good value. Nice room with traditional stone vaulted ceiling.More
Great food, nice local wine, excellent and friendly service. We would absolutely recommend this place.
Got one of the main courses wrong but corrected quickly and with apologies and free drinks. Children helped to till the bill. Food was all nice. Lots of choice
We have eaten here three times this season and always enjoyed good service and great food. The restaurant can get busy at weekends so it is worth booking. Quieter mid week. Expect a relaxed meal without the rush of some ski resort restaurants.
Everywhere else was fully booked on Saturday night and this place was suspiciously empty so I wasn't expecting much. However our food was pretty good - both husband and myself had a very reasonably priced 3 course menu. Nothing spectacular but not bad either. Service...however was a bit hit or miss, with two young girls who seemed to be a bit overstretched. When we were paying our bill - which had taken about 15 minutes to arrange - the server got shouted away by the chef to deliver a meal and we had to wait a further 10 minutes.More
Food is extremely good, however the service is painfully slow, we waited 20 minutes for the waiter to take our order
Nice food, apart from the red mullet being cooked far too long, when we were the only customers in the place. To make it worse, I found a piece of cork from the wine in my single glass of white wine towards the end of...the meal, and kindly asked to have it removed from the bill. He said absolutely not and had no remorse about the fact we had an awful lunch and bad experience on our holiday. Awful mannerism from the owner, clearly too greedy for money and not customers. Will not return.More
Greattttt food, Claude, the owner was so cool, great choices of wine, pasta was very good, the specialty from Savoine was super good......price is good for high quality food, thank you Claude....I recommend
9 of us ate in this restaurant last week as it was recommended to us. There us an extensive menu with lots of choice to suit all tastes. We all chose from the 22.50 menu, and everyone enjoyed their choice. Each course was well cooked...and well presented. We chose the house white and red to go with our meals and it was very good too. It is a very welcoming place, we had a couple of canapés to start, and were offered either limoncello or genapi as a digestif. The vaulted ceilings added to the atmosphere and we had a great evening. We were made to feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return for our next holiday.More
Lovely vaulted ceilings add to a really nice atmosphere in this little gem. Nice mix of regional and meat/fish dishes. Good fixed price menu with 4/5 options per course. They even went out of their way for an awkward vegetarian like me on the fixed...menu. Extensive wine list plus some very strong Belgium beers, which were great. Very welcoming staff - really pleasant and professional approachMore
We returned to this restaurant for dinner on the final night of our holiday in Briancon. We had been twice in Aug 2013 and this time we were as pleased as we were in 2013 as the food was very good, the staff attentive and...chatty, and there was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. The portion sizes are a little on the small size, we have 3 growing teenagers who can eat a lot. The set menu is very good value at 22EMore
This little gem of a place is tucked away at basement level and very easy to miss which would be a real shame. We were skiing in the area for a week (self catered apartment) so had lunch there the day we arrived and dinner...on the last night. Both meals were delicious and good value and the menu has something for everyone, although do not expect "English" or "fast food" options. The owner/manager is a bit of a character and also runs the table service which is a bit reminiscent of "Fawlty Towers" but the food is worth the wait. Meals in rural France are never rushed so you just have to go with the flow. The Manager/Waiter speaks no English and will joke with you pretending not to understand your terrible french but it's all very friendly and fun. Loved the food and the ambience which is why on the only two occasions we ate out, both were in this restaurant. No hesitation in going back there againMore
