If you want to eat really home made excellent cretan food, you should go to ETHIMIKO taverna. It is located on the road Heraklion- Agios Myronas village (approx 15 km), in a country-side with vineyards and all kinds of greens. You depart from Heraklion direction Moires, but in the 2nd stop light from Heraklion, you turn right following University Hospital/Agios... More

THE place to eat in Agios Myronas and surrounding area. Not well signed but worth looking for, it's on the first floor! Lovely atmosphere and an absolutely stunning view. The food is delicious and plentiful. Superb fish, shrimps, souvlaki, lamb chops, chicken etc etc. And the price, well, leaves a really good taste! You will definitely want to return for... More

Amazing restaurant tucked away in the hills near Iraklion. The food was outstanding, the wine divine and the owner (Michael) was lovely. We stayed near by and ate out here most night and this restaurant is without a doubt the reason for my belly being significantly larger upon leaving Crete. Simply a must.

We were 2 adults and 2 children, and ate two large fishes, greek salad, french fries, calamari and orange juice. It costed us 35 euros. Large organic fruits, ice creams and local puddings were complementary. Calamari were delicious. Absolute gem. Will visit this place again.

A very authentic Greek restaurant run by Michael. Local produce with good choice, every day also " dishes of the day". Amazing value for money, especially the local red wine. Generous portions and after the main course fresh fruit, a local pudding AND raki automatically appear! The views from the balcony are amazing and if you are not staying in... More

Authentic cretan healthy cuisine: this restaurant should figure at the page of a dictionary when you search for this type of food. Well done! We were left wondering what we have been eating all our lives until now, hahahaha! Thank you for everything and for keeping your prices low and for being a non-touristy place and so welcoming to visitors!... More

We were staying at the brilliant Vergis Epavlis and had this local taverna recommended to us. It did not disappoint. Excellent greek food and great value. Delicious specials and a range of lovely smaller dishes. Well worth a visit. Thank you for a lovely evening

Local food, great service, nice view, and about half the price comparing to the regular touristic tavernas. We enjoyed our dinner very much, the lamb chops are superb, the cretan salad is fresh and the "dolmades" are the best we've eaten so far. If you happen to be in the area - this is a must.

This place is close to "Vergis Epavlis" and the main city - very good local food. The views are stunning, it's a couples place and also a family friendly place (like us).
