Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Me and my wife were getting married in Cyprus and wanted to do a reception in the UK a week after for guests unable to get to Cyprus. We had various issues with other establishments but as soon as we met with the team at...the Plough and Barn at Leigh, we knew we were in good hands. They were quick to answer any questions we had, as well as helping guide us through the running order of the reception. On the day everything was super organised, with no issues at all in getting things setup. The venue itself was stunning, both the barn and the outside garden which thankfully we had good weather for. Everyone who attended had a great time and commented on how lovely the venue was. Before the evening of the wedding reception, me and my wife have visited a handful of times for drinks and lunch and have always had a great time. You can't find a nicer, more relaxing venue in Kent.More

We stopped off here for a drink whilst out cycling and went back the next week for dinner with the family as it was such a nice spot! It's a beautiful old pub with a huge garden, really good food (halloumi fries and fish &...chips were 👌🏻) and such friendly staff; even on a busy sunny weekend nothing was too much trouble for Darren and the team. Will definitely be going back when we're in the area again!More

I’ve been to The Plough several times and I love the cosy atmosphere. It’s a traditional English pub but elevated and modern. The food is always really, really good and fresh - not your average pub food. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It’s also...dog friendly which is perfect for us. Highly recommend their roasts too - they’re the best around :)More

Visited for a family Wedding reception over probalby the hottest day of the year. Lovely location in the middle of nowhere and the barn hosting the venue was very attractive and well decked out for the event. However, there was only very limited airflow (small...windows and only one entrance/exit so the room soon got unbearably hot most guests exited outside as soon as the meal was over. AC would be a good addition.More
