What a wonderful night we had, the food was so tasty and the drinks kept flowing, a perfect evening catching up with our friends. Both the owners were fantastic, Steve is the best "front of house" anywhere and his partner works so hard too. Stephen the host was an amazing people’s person and his chicken was for sure the best on the island. Time was spent on that original recipes and if your into your chicken this off the track hidden gem will be right up your street. My...wife and I had 4 pieces each (2legs + 2thigh) and shared at a portion of chips (real chips) and a salad, bread beautiful home made Aioli and a nice home made spicy peri peri. We also had a beer each (dorado bottle) and the total bill was €22.50 AMAZING!!! 🤩 Well worth the visit and will likely be be going there again on our return to Tenerife.More

Whenever we visit Tenerife, and wherever we are staying on the island, we always try to enjoy a meal with Steve at The Chicken Shack in Puerto Santiago! We have been coming for over 20 years - although we haven't been to Tenerife for the...last six years - and we have brought friends and family members in that time to enjoy the great food. The menu is simple - a warm baguette with a dish of creamy garlic mayonnaise and a dish of spicy alioli to start then fried chicken, either plain or spicy, with a plate of home cooked chips and a plate of fresh salad to go with it. This is all washed down with either a beer or glass of wine, a soft drink or whatever you choose. We had a small beer with our meal and the whole bill came to less than 25 euros for the two of us! However, the highlight of the evening was chatting to Steve, the owner, again - and enjoying his superb humour and banter! We can't recommend The Chicken Shack highly enough - it's a must for anyone visiting Tenerife!More

It is what it says. Chicken shack. Beautiful chicken well flavoured. Home cooked amazing chips with a huge portion of salad. Drink was amazingly priced and the service was top quality. Friendly, funny and polite. Would seriously recommend

Asked for a menu and was informed they sell chicken.......how helpful ! I guess they do not require new custom, given its an English owned restaurant, they rely on people returning for chicken lol, no matter how it's served

Visited tonight for the first time with my wife and sister. What a great experience it was, the banter was unbelievable and the food was outstanding and the portions were large. Great value for money. Will certainly visit again

Met a couple who had a holiday apartment in Los Gigantes who suggested we visit Chicken Shack. Well worth it. Simple food - basically crispy fried chicken, chips and salad with aioli and chilli sauce. Wine came in a jug - red, chilled and not...bad. It was all cheap as chips - no pun intended and very nice. What really made it was the bloke that owns the place - absolutely hilarious, lovely bloke who talked to everyone at their tables - entertaining man! Poured me a brandy - think there was nearly half a bottle in my glass. Well worth a visit but don't expect a quiet night!More

All of those previous customers can not be wrong and they are not. A lovely warm and friendly welcome to us as " first timers " and a thoroughly enjoyable evening and meal amongst a range of nationalities, not just chicken and chips Brits. You...know what you are getting but it is actually better because of the service and ambience ( thank you Micky Flanagan ! ) Hot fresh bread and dips, spicy ( or plain) crispy chicken, a very large juicy salad and crispy chips. Not cordon bleu maybe, but very very tasty and great value all washed down with an excellent cold rose. The barraquitos to follow ( google it ) are recommended. Thank you Stephen. A lovely atmosphere throughout. Just off now to pay him the 20 euros that I didn't have last night. It is refreshing in this world that Stephen didn't doubt for one second that I would return to settle my bill.More
