A new team at the restaurant which is only open at weekends, but it is off season. Very busy, only 3 small empty tables.
Food and service very good, despite the resto being almost full, a choice of 3 options per course, which are changed weekly. 3 course menu for 24€.
Only minor gripe would be lack of vegetables, just a few would make a huge difference. I enjoyed my quail in a grape sauce, but it was served with a huge mound of tagliatelle, most of which I left. A few veg and some potatoes would have been preferable.

Booked for dinner while staying locally , we both thoroughly enjoyed the quality, presentaion and service. This is a large well managed property which obviously caters for events and parties during high season but as an autumn dining venue it was popular . We will certainly call in again when in the area and recommended to our B&B host.

Three visits during our recent holiday. One on the day after arriving for a hot weather al fresco lunch of beef tartar. One evening for the €37 menu. And then on our last evening for something in between. All were excellent, with particularly memorable dishes being a raw salmon creation, and a highly creative and unusual assiette of milk puddings which may sound bland but was not. Lovely team running the place and the outdoor space is a delight.

We walked out of this restaurant without bothering to eat after we were “served” by the rudest waitress we’ve ever encountered. She is clearly in the wrong job as she was so abrupt and obviously couldn’t care less.
The set menu is very misleading as it clearly states that you can choose courses from the main menu but when you go to order you’re told (extremely rudely) you can only choose from two options. It wouldn’t have been so bad had the waitress not been so utterly obnoxious about it.
When we got up to leave the manager just stood here and watched us go. He couldn’t even be bothered to ask why.
We live in the area and have often eaten here, and also bought visitors here in the past several times (and enjoyed it each time) but we will never go again after the way we were treated this time.

First visit this year but a little disappointing. 50 diners and 2 waiting staff. One of the two main courses was off so I ended up with a burger, quite nice but not what I was looking forward to eating. Rather disorganised, it took several minutes to catch a waiter’s attention to ask for our wine as we were half way through our starters and service a little slow. Food pleasant and staff friendly but overstretched !

Well noted this primarily a meat / beef specialty restaurant but I consider prices too high for that.
There are other choices that are good enough and tasty as well. The stingray served at another table however smelled too strong....
The main problem when we were there is the time to get our main dish. We did see 2 out of 3 standing under some heating lamps for more than 10 minutes something never beneficial. Also for dessert nobody came to check if we wanted some. Maybe we have been unlucky because the restaurant was full that day
The place is nice with a big terrace but it is next to a busy road. Voilà why my note is less than what they actually may deserve.

A nice local place to go for easy food, drinks.
Unfortunately food other than the burgers and icecreams was not great.
Asked our filet steak to be cooked "a point" - pink -& had to return it due to it being overdone. It came back a bit warmer but still over done. Shame.
The salads were equally uninspiring with very little dressing.
My son was happy with the chicken burger and the icecreams were decent.
Lovely large place to sit but the food could do with improving!

Still the same after more than 20 years. The nice outdoor space has gotten bigger but inside it is as before. The food has not changed much either. Burgers are still a big item but there are also fine steaks and even steak Tartare. Nice for a casual, decently priced meal.

Very high price for the quality.
Furthermore, we tried to pay four different people with 6 different cards (visa, Mastercard, pagobancomat and only the Burundi circuit was missing) and they wouldn't take one.
The waiter sent us to collect in another municipality, indicating an incorrect ATM address; we entered a house.
After finding the bank and making a withdrawal we asked for a discount since we had a 40 minute drive with a 2 year old who wanted to go home and sleep.
They managed to reply that we wasted their time while they were serving...
Terrible experience, indigestible food and even more staff

Our wish was for something light and interesting for dinner and La Grange obliged handsomely. A plate of ham salad, enough to feed an army, and a smoked salmon bagel, similarly generous, with the best frites for miles. Factor in the warm welcome and a 50cl carafe of white at six euros, and it was no wonder the place was buzzing with happy clients. This place has changed hands since our last visit - good to see it back on its feet.

Does everything really well. The restaurant is in an old, atmospheric building, ie. a barn. A welcoming waiter met us and gave us a table that suited perfectly. We sat inside but our table was open to the shaded exterior - important in the heat we are experincing. The menu has plenty of choice and there is a compressive drinks list. We ordered pichets of white and rosé. The dos de cabillaud was the winner but the whole dourade was excellent as well. Great service, great food, great drinks. Open for lunch Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Beautiful, very festive evening with a group of musicians. New cook, new cuisine! Impeccable service, smiling, relaxed and efficient. Very well presented and tasty dishes. Plus a large parking lot to accommodate us.

It was recommended to us and we were not disappointed at all. Setting, work team and cuisine are very good. We eat really well there. It’s an atypical restaurant and for that alone it’s already worth the detour.
We will come back
Ps: we are Belgian and the fries were just very, very good.

We had the 29€ menu and chose a goats cheese starter - very good, and pork ribs as a main - very very fatty, 80% fat so not enjoyed, and cafe gourmand - very good. Just be aware how little meat there is on the main !

With a new owner, this restaurant is still great. In fact, the food offering may be better. It was packed with nearly all tables taken but the service was still very good cheerful and pleasant.
