we were at the Ameretto last night and i was looking forward to getting my absolute favorite dish which is the ravioli, to my horror the menu has been condensed and the ravioli is no longer available, i know this is good business sense but i'm not sure i'ii be rushing back because the spaghetti bolognese was just ok.

Food was fine Italian fare. Fairly traditional and enjoyable but... the service was shocking. It's the only restaurant in the last three years where I haven't left a tip. Unacceptable having to ask for pretty much every single thing three or four times!

There's certainly no need to travel to Glasgow when you have a first class Italian restaurant on your doorstep. The extensive menu, quality of the food is superb and beautifully presented. The staff were extremely helpful and recommended certain dishes. the atmosphere was very relaxing yet lively. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Lots of biggish tables, so might be a little challenging if you want something romantic, but food good and prices keen. Very repeatable, we will be back. Pizza wolfed by teenagers, massive garlic bread a winner, seafood linguine tasty, excellent puddings, order one between two and two spoons if you've had a starter!

After hearing very good things about Amaretto my Mum and Myself made the trip to test the menu. I opted for three tapas off the Cichette menu consisting a very bland Crespelle stuffed with spinach, ricotta, caramelised onions and nutmeg baked in a tomato sugo, an underwhelming portion of baby fried calamari and to be brutally honest the most disgusting,... We visited Amaretto for lunch. A varied menu with lots of choices. I had the Italian Sausage Burger, it was excellent and came with chips. Only one waitress but she was terrific, friendly and efficient. We will certainly return.

As a family of four we decided to give the Amaretto a try, I had the mussels, a healthy portion but fairly small mussels, nevertheless they were very tasty. My wife and two adult kids both sang the praises of their dishes which included, the soup and a fungi dish which is a single mushroom, not cheap but very tasty.... More

We had the fixed price lunch which had a good selection of starters and mains. We chose two different starters and mains, and enjoyed them all. The quality of ingredients was good with nice presentation. The service was friendly and timings between courses was about right. There were not many diners for lunch, so we are not able to comment... More

It's a family run restaurant with a great team of staff who have been with us for years. This is important to me as I feel customers appreciate having the same staff when they visit; it makes it more personal something that I aim for. My customers are extremely important to me especially with this being a small village it is vital that the customers feel welcome every time they return. We serve traditional Italian food and have a very extensive menu. We have a lunch menu, pre-theatre and of course a la carte. If your looking for somewhere relaxing to enjoy a quiet drink during the day or before and after your meal head upstairs to the bar where we have a variety of continental beers and wines from most regions in Italy, we also sell a selection of hot food, cakes and pastries. The location of Bridge of Weir is an idyllic peaceful village and in the summer our beer garden which is situated upstairs offers wonderful views of the village. We are not looking to turn Amaretto into a brand we want to concentrate on this restaurant and our customers and give something back to the community here. We want to give to give the people of Renfrewshire somewhere they can go anytime of the day and enjoy great food and drink along with great personal service.
