This was my second visit to Café Kisimul. The previous year whilst sheltering from the rain a group of us had coffee and cake. Whilst looking over the evening menu I thought that it would be a nice place for dinner if I returned to the island. A year later I decided to have dinner. Booking was essential as it... More

Not sure if Bohemian is quite the right word for this great little place but certainly an unexpected find on Barra!! Lovely home cooked food. A very interesting menu choice of Indian, Italian or "conventional" food leaves you spoiled for choice as it all looked lovely and tasted great....try the Scallops Pakora!! The place was busy considering it was October... More

Nice wee restaurant in an interesting location. Basic but attractive surroundings and nice friendly staff. Choice of Indian or Italian menus; we ate off the Italian which had an interesting range of options. Food was good although a little too much sauce for the pasta. Enjoyed our visit ... nice to find somewhere a bit quirky with a good range... More

I visited this establishment while on holiday in Barra. Food was good, but since the original owner has departed the food has changed slightly. The taste of the food is not the same, a bit bland in taste. A bit more spicy I would recommend. Sauces a bit watery. Still worth a visit, and booking in advance is recommended.

Visited here for an evening meal October. Booking was essential for both early and late sitting. Food was excellent and service was good. Busy place with lively atmosphere. Would recommend.

A fab place to eat on Barra. I highly recommend it. An Italian/Indian mix of cuisine, which sounds unusual but works perfectly well. My friend had a pasta dish, which he pronounced delicious, while I had the Barra lamb korma curry. So unbelievably tender and delicious.
