We saw this restaurant recently when we passed through the village. It seems to be the only one in Villepinte and we decided to give it a try. It's also a hotel and has a bar. But frankly I was disappointed. I had a salad de pecheur as a starter, with shrimps, herring, mussels and anchovies but everything was out... More

Had an excellent meal here. Stumbled upon it by accident. We had a great 3 course menu, French food as I once knew it. So much, I find now is fast food for tourists. There was a varied choice of menu. As a starter I had smoked salmon salad, followed by stuffed duck strips,(aiguillettes) stuffing was made with red wine,... More

There's nowhere else to eat in this small village a kilometre walk from the Canal so unless you want to self cater this is it. The staff were pleasant and the dining room spotless . Nearing Castelnaudary cassoulet was the inevitable offering which I wished I had tried since my pork chops were somewhat underdone . Nothing too exciting really... More

Walked up to restaurant in village from canal mooring. Quite large and fairly empty but interesting room. Food good, service a little patchy but friendly. At end of meal, following a downpour, requested taxi booking whereupon kind man (owner's husband perhaps) drove up and ran us down to the towpath and didn't want any payment. Now tat is good service.

We walked there from our 'green mooring' along the Canal du Midi. Very accommodating staff and good menu.

Despite having to cope with two coach loads of guests alongside all others, the host and hostess shared jokes with our party. The cassoulet was good, the recommended wine excellent. Lovely, friendly place. Not upmarket, but a real pleasure!

We were given a warm welcome and received very friendly service. The duck dish was excellent, the steaks were just fine. Very helpful owner/server, who spoke some English and who was delightful (as was her young son). Deserts not the forte, and ambiance picked up as the restaurant became busiier (we dined early). But would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We stopped here for dinner while boating the Canal du Midi. It was perfect. The fois gras and the pate entrees were rich and delicious. The region's specialty, duck cassoulet was hearty and tasty. There was an English menu and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. Her choice of wine for our meal was perfect. It is only a... More

We had a very good dinner here and needed a taxi back to our boat on the canal du midi. Unfortunately the taxi company let us down and the restaurant provided transport back to our boat and would not accept any payment. This was extremely kind and would encourage us to go there again.

The restaurant, which is also a hotel, doesn't not particularly seem special from the outside, but all our family members were surprised by the fine flavor composition this restaurant has to offer.
