The staff are so welcoming and helpful, and the food is really top class, locally sourced and cooked to order. We had the burger (from Halesworth) and the chicken wrapped in bacon, both with chunky chips. Both were delicious, and just the right sized portions. We had the house Sauvignon Blanc white wine, which was very good too. We will... More

Visited for a meal just after Christmas. The friendly staff, efficient service and excellent food combined with brilliant live music from a young duo called "Simply Dutch" made this a very memorable evening. Shame it's not our local, we would certainly visit more frequently.

Thr bew owners have really improved the pub since out last visit. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic food, I recommend the burgers, and the beer is well tended. I heartily recommend this pub, you won't be disappointed...

Nice pub for a Sunday lunch, great choice of Sunday lunches (beef, pork, lamb) plus an enormous mussels dish, which was superb. Good choice of beers, the kids loved the pork roast and staff were helpful and friendly. We didn't get chance to enjoy the open fire but that was roaring too. Would definitely recommend to all types of groups.

Went on a Sunday for lunch. Table of 8 - 4 adults, 4 children. All the food was excellent. Best (and largest) mussels I've ever had - just delicious. Couple of others had a burger and they said it was the best burger they'd had in any pub. For the children we ordered the Sunday roast pork. The portions were... More

Had three meals here from the new menu and chef. Excellent, well cooked and plenty. The pub is cosy and friendly with large open fire. There is an area where dog walkers can sit with their dogs to have a meal or just a drink. Well worth a visit

They provided a light buffet of which was a lovely spread of sandwiches etc the homemade sausage rolls and scones went down well. Nice friendly village pub with nice open log fire. Very friendly and helpful staff of which we could not fault. Thankyou... More

We saw Facebook posts about the new chef and new menu and took a look and thought typical pub grub. Thought it was a little pricey from the menu but certainly not for what we got. We weren't going to go but boy are we glad we did. Beautiful food, well presented and certainly far from average pub grub. We... More

My partner grew up in North Cove so has seen the pub change hands a few times, we live in London but have visited many times through the years and the current management / owners are doing a great job. The pub has such character and you get a warm welcome on arrival. We booked in for Christmas lunch and... More
