bad social distancing, pricey food, pleasant atmosphere, warm open fire. Good choice of ales, plenty of parking.

Dog friendly. Had a superb Sunday lunch, perfectly cooked beef, roast potatoes, vegetables and huge Yorkshire pudding - we are very fussy about roasts and this was superb. Very friendly and helpful staff and landlady - would thoroughly recommend

Where do i start greeted as walked in by a lovely lady behind the bar and served in a polite friendly manner. We had the king prawn started and was very worried this was gonna be a little to spicy but infact it was pefect...the flavour really stood out and wasnt at all that spicy but had a kick. The burgers where amazing although messy 😋 the chips well i cant say ive had better anywhere else and the slaw fitted pefect with dish. The service though out was great 👍 I cant wait to return and try something else Keep it up team shoesMore

Only two starters on the menu ! when ordered the soup was told they had run out ( this was 7pm ) other people were there waiting to order too ! So if you didn’t want corvettes there was NO STARTERS ! Had scampi for...mains with chips and a small spoon full of peas, NO side salad or garnish to accomplish this ! others had a red pork curry which came out with prawn crackers, ( it wasn’t a Chinese) so we found this ODD ! our friend ordered a drink at the bar & asked for some ICE , to which we were told they had RUN OUT, we then heard the couple on the next table order the pork curry, to which we heard they had RUN OUT also , to finish off we were told if we wanted a sweet could we be ordering it as the chef wanted to be going home, how unprofessional ! I don’t know who actually runs this pub, ? but who’s job is it to make sure there’s food there that is actually on the menu, VERY POORLY RUN and sadly we won’t be returning! ( it’s such a sham as we wanted to support small country pubs) that we know have had such a bad time over the last two years due to the pandemic !More

We took our dog and this really was a dog friendly place....Really good value too. Great service. Would highly recommend. (Lots of meat choices too if you’re not veggie)More

It may have a small menu, but my goodness what delicious food they serve! We found this pub completely by chance, and went back the next night again! Now feel as though we never need to eat again ;) Homemade cheesecake is a must.
