We were staying near Beccles and heard about this restaurant. The hotel looked very nice but we proceeded to the restaurant which was overlooking the Waveney river and you can see boats moored on the river. Very nice looking restaurant. Lots on the menu and...More

Lovely location but never got to eat there. Arrived to order a meal at 18:22 but told sorry cannot take your order until 18:30. Surely an order could have been taken and we could have been told it would be served after 18:30. Hence we...More

After a recommendation from owners of the B & B we stayed in, we visited The Waveney House Hotel for a drink and sat outside alongside the river. We watched the sun setting in a blaze of colour reflected on the water and it was...More

Our first taste of the new summer menu did not disappoint, I had the Sweet potato roulade, saute green veg, parsnip chips & cream cheese, celery & chive sauce which was delicious, my wife had the very tasty ratatouille pasta with the awesome olive bread...More

A group of us were celebrating a relative's birthday - evening meal. Our table by the window afforded a lovely view across the evening. The service was excellent and the food very good. A good choice of main courses for gluten-free, but, as is so...More

Nice place on the waterfront, relaxed atmosphere. Only stayed for a couple of drinks, dud some table hopping to get a riverside seat as it was quite busy when we arrived (to be expected though as was a lovely sunny day) child friendly, nice place.

Popped by the Waveney on the off chance on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We managed to get a table no problem sitting in the sun. The menu is quite diverse offering a variety of different options. There is also apparently a specials board inside which...More

A great place to eat overlooking the river Waveney. Choose to eat in the restaurant, or get food from the bar. Lovely friendly staff and good food.

It is just a few miles. Latitude is half way between Southwold and Beccles. Beccles isa good option to stay, but you would still need to drive to the festival, it isnt walking distance
