Not far from where I used to live (and still visit) I have been to the St-Jean more times than I can even try to remember. It is a cosy and the type of place you can take someone for a business lunch or go with the family on a Sunday after a walk in the woods. Service has always... More

This is a good place to go if you want to have a quick and decent meal with your family. A bit pricey for the food available but after all we cannot pretend to get the best price/quality ratio always!! Cosy atmosphere and staff is really nice.

We were sent here by a local tradesman. We needed a late lunch and the spot looked lovely. The menu is limited and we were hungry. We ordered what was described as an Aberdeen Angus burger. Frankly I'm not sure I would have fed it to my dog, more frozen burger than gourmet. We paid 20 euro each for the... More

We did meet some friends here, for lunch. It was busy, whole families on this saturday. The quality of the food is good and the staff is friendly. We had typical Belgian food. Stoofvlees was great and the witloof also.

While it is rather big, it feels cosy. They are fast in serving and staff is friendly. One drawback: they allow smoking anywhere outdoors. Enjoying a nice salad on the outside terrasse might be less enjoyable as a consequence ...

It took a long time before we got our food. They forgot new orders. When they served the beers it was like someone had already drunk a little bit of it. The mussels had been coocked to long and were like leather. The toilets for woman were very dirty.

It took a very long time before we got our food (>30 minutes for a salade). we ordered a coffee afterwards. when we asked the waiter he refused to come and stared at us like we were pushing him too much. we paid and had te leave without coffee. Quick lunch in the sun with a friend and our two 5 year old girls. Food was quick to arrive and very tasty (plenty of juicy prawns in the salad). Lovely play area for the children to enjoy whilst we were waiting for the food. Service was quick and efficient (a novelty in Belgium!)
