Very excited to try this new venue, especially as we are local to Pershore. The decor is fantastic and love the balcony seats, so good to see people enjoying a cocktail on a Summers evening!
The service was a bit slow, but think the staff are still finding there feet as it’s new. my son had a pizza that was amazingly good, great choice and piping hot so obviously cooked to order so didn’t mind waiting. My niece had the chicken buttermilk burger which she said was the best she had ever tasted! We had delicious nachos and wings.
Wings were very messy and a finger bowl would have been a good idea? Also the reason only 4 stars was the duck salad we ordered wasn’t good, sadly the duck was over cooked and really hard to eat, seaweed was soggy so that was disappointing.
Music was a little too loud, but appreciate that’s just me and my age, although there was a very mixed age group so that’s again something that maybe worth a thought in the future.
All in all a really great meal, fantastic to see somewhere new to eat out in Pershore and we will 100% be back, although I will order a burger next time to try.

Food great, service not so much. We arrived at 5:35 didn't sit down for 5 minutes due to only 1 member of staff being around. Once sat it took 15 mins for our drinks order to be taken (food was done at the same time) and then another 45 mins for the food to arrive. It wasn't particularly busy. Once we finished it took 10 mins for plates to be cleared and another 20 for us to get 1 pudding.
We were there for nearly 3 hours, I've never experienced that for 4 people.
The bar/restaurant itself is lovely and the food was lovely, but the speed of service we experienced has put us off going back which is a real shame.

I may have had a better brunch in my life but I honestly can’t recall when or where. The American is a waffle topped with breaded chicken (with a nice kick to it), crispy bacon and maple syrup. The rest of the menu was equally as appetising but I thought this would be the most effort to recreate at home. I wasn’t disappointed! My wife had an indulgent Bellini brunch which was actually great value as it included 3 Bellini’s, a main Brunch (she went for the brunch burger) followed by churros with hot dipping chocolate sauce.
We had a 1 and 4 year old with us, the high chair was clean we were all welcomed. A few families joined the other tables early doors on a late Sunday morning along with couples and friends creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Gorgeous sash windows and shutters leading to balcony’s overlooking Pershore which we can’t wait try after offloading the kids and returning for an evening of food and drink.

My wife and I decided to have our lunch here as we are on our holiday.
Firstly as I was driving, I ordered a lemon and lime for myself and my wife, requesting that we don't want ice. The waitress delivered our refreshments which included ice! Thinking it was a genuine mistake I said nothing. The same waitress came to take our order of a beef Pattie on a brioche bun with egg cheese and bacon and fries. My wife asked for the same but requested that the she only wanted the beef Pattie with bacon along with fries.
The order was delivered after approx 40 mins. To our amazement the order for my wife was a brioche with greasy bacon on it. After mentioning it to the staff they said that they would 'redo the order. Not wishing to wait even longer it was declined. On receiving the bill my wife noticed that the waiter issuing it had charged for a full beef pattie ect. This was removed and replaced by a new price. Poor service, waiting time and overcharged. Not going back and would not recommend it to anyone.

Inpromptu meal with friends to Claude’s.
Accommodated is with a table plus a few extras.
Claude’s has recently been extended so the restaurant is much more spacious and tables much better!
We ordered drinks to be told that they had just put bottles of Prosecco in the blast chiller and they would be with us shortly. When they arrived it was barely cold, the next bottle we ordered…. Exactly the same response. Maybe bar staff should learn from this being that we were a large table and would likely order another bottle.
When ordering food this went smoothly and food arrived in good time, standard burgers and greasy chips nothing to rave about.
When coming to pay the bill we were made to feel extremely uncomfortable by paying part cash part card. I’m not sure this is even legal, let alone inclusive for those that cannot use card payments.
All in all we made the night a good one by our own company, even due to recent “renovation” Claude’s is already looking tired, the toilets were vile (not one ladies toilet working, ladies having to resort to using the mens) - this was an issue when the building was used prior to Claude’s arrival.
Won’t be rushing back, maybe for drinks but not for dining.

Keen to visit this newly opened bar and kitchen, a bit disappointed to see 4 tv screens behind the bar, fortunately for us we couldn’t see them from our table, clearly a personal thing I know.
Menu offers burgers, pizzas and ribs the later we’re delicious, as were the Parmesan and truffle oil chips.
Cocktails are on the menu but No Wine list which I found odd and irritating not being able to sit and choose, also unfortunately two of the cocktails had run out of, due to it being bank holiday, not sure why they hadn’t planned for extra the week before 🤔
One more issue the table was too small for four it would have been only just big enough for two.
The staff were pleasant and helpful and if you can get a table on the balcony for pre dinner drinks it offers a nice view of the sun going down. Parking outside if you can get a spot.

Family of 6 visited for special 40th birthday, 4 adults 2 children. Food was nice, drinks expensive for type of place it is.
No childrens menu which is ok, so chose sausage in bread roll without any of the fancy extras on menu. Big banger £9 ea however having asked for plain sausages was not impressed to find charged full price. I Suggested we should have a discount a big banger just plain hot dog, they gave £4 discount, so having paid £14 for 2 sausages in a roll definately will not return.
Nice furnishings in a gd position in town but rip off springs to mind......
Better places to spend your money in such a nice town.

This place has undergone an incredible transformation and is now one of the top places locally to meet, eat/ drink and enjoy a great atmosphere.
After several visits to The Claude Choules Bar & Kitchen in recent weeks, I can honestly say that the standard of food/ drink and service has been consistently excellent.
The bar is packed with an impressive range of gins, whiskies, beers & cocktails and the menu offers plenty of choice, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
Whether you’re planning a night out with friends, romantic dinner/ family meal or just a takeaway (and cheeky drink while you collect), Claudes is a perfect choice!

Two visits in as many months and they couldn’t have been more different. The first visit was excellent, great food, good service and all in all a great night out. Our second, most recent visit was disappointing. After raving to our friends about the ribs, it was a real shame that the ribs were tough and didn’t melt off the bone this time. No finger bowls for such a messy dish either - basics! The burger was thoroughly burnt on one side. It felt like there was a completely different chef in on our second visit and unfortunately we do have second thoughts about revisiting in the future.

Booked for lunch with my friend. At last the weather cheered up and we were able to sit on the balcony (very comfy chairs!).
I had the house burger and nachos. Personally I feel a few french fries and side salad should come with it as it looked a bit lonely - the burger - on the plate.
Service and staff were excellent. I’m sure it will do really well. Feels like a trendier version of the Angel, which it is. Cocktails look nice but as it was lunchtime, though I better not!

I took a Pershore friend to dinner on his recommendation. The service could have been better, and no condiments were put on the table when the food came. While my companion had a satisfactory vegetarian option, I sent back the 'Licensed to Grill' burger I ordered as it was unacceptable - the meat tasted stale, as though thawed from frozen, and the cheese bland. Apart from being taken off the bill, which we had to go to the bar to ask for, there was no apology. With a balcony seat on a warm evening, I only wanted a decent burger; it could have been a great experience. Sadly, it was not, and to cap it all, as it was my treat, I had to pay.

As locals, we've been keen to try this place since it opened. We fancied a vegan burger and were driving home from a day trip to Rugby. First, we found it weird & inconvenient when we called from our car and were told we could only book online. Okay, we did that.
We liked that we could sit on the New Orleans style balcony overlooking the town. I liked the frozen tankard that came with my beer. We liked the cheerful service.
We didn't like the lack of good vegan burger options and the lack of vegan mayonnaise when they are so easily available nowadays. I suspect that the plain fries to go with the vegan burger were not cooked in a separate fryer (to the ones where animal products are fried) because they tasted tainted to me.

We went for family dinner and took two children. The offer for children to eat free if adult had main and side made it excellent value for money. The experience was enhanced by Lewis aka Mr Magic. Tricks and entertainment that mesmerised the children.
Food was good quality street food with lots of choice. We will definitely be back soon.

This week we had the privilege of attending a pre-launch event at the Claude Choules. The ambience is great, with a sports bar feel at the entrance, and a private club vibe in the room adjoining the terrace. We had samples of various dishes from the menu, all of which were delicious. I’d describe it as street food, and the main menu offers a wide range of “build your own” options. There’s a great cocktail list too, so the main problem will be deciding what to choose.

Claude Choules is a new restaurant/bar on the site of the defunct Whistlers. The name comes from the oldest surviving combatant of WW1 who hailed from Pershore. The bar, on the first floor overlooking Broad Street is comfortable and relaxing. There is a mix of high and low tables. Staff are attentive and efficient. Food is basically burgers, pizza, ribs, wings, nachos but all dishes look appetizing and well done. Best for me was a selection of decent craft beers (IPAs), a feat that seems beyond most local hostelries in the area. This place is well worth a visit for drinks and/or food. Recommended.
