My Son-In-Law booked on recommendation for 2 Birthday Celebrations. Table was not set up for 13 people when we arrived. It was set for 9 so had to wait for it to be re-arranged. Had to pre order meal as there was 13 of us....When we arrived was told 3 of the desserts they didn’t now have (was there any point of pre-ordering) Ordered drinks, slow in coming one person ended up having water as he asked 3 times gave up in the end. Once finished starters. I would have thought the waiter would have re-laid the cutlery for the main course. He did not, once the main food was served we had to wait for cutlery. The Mighty Beef Burger meals were cold. Asked for condiments by the time they arrived the food was almost eaten. When we asked for spoons for the dessert think the waiter was being sarcastic. As he was putting the spoons down he was counting out loud 1 2 3 etc. Felt it was too much trouble for them. Definitely will not be returning or definitely would not recommend The Moody Mare.More

We regularly visit The Moody Mare as it's very local to us. the staff are always very welcoming and friendly and the food and service are always great. We love the tipis, they're huge and very unusual setting for a meal.

Everything about this pub was perfect. The service and food were excellent, the tented area had a Christmas magic to it. The live music had everone on their feet very quickly. A big thank you to the landlord, his wife and professional staff.

We had our work Christmas lunch at the Moody Mare today and it was delicious. They had taken all of the COVID precautions and placed us in their lovely Tipi which offered lots of space. I would highly recommend this pub, not just for Christmas...as the main menu is also fabulous. The staff were also really attentive.More

Myself and my partner had Sunday lunch here for the first time today and wow was we impressed. I would as we did book a head and make sure you you don't get the table near the toilet. Apart from that you cannot go wrong....I had the lamb which was amazing and plenty of it. My partner the beef and again plenty of it. Real home made Yorkshire's and roasties. All other veg served on the side. Excellent service. We both also had starters th Mussels and The Prawns beautiful. Not over priced either. Quick service also.More

Nice to return to a restaurant we have been to many times before but not recently. It was very busy and had a great atmosphere. My wife, not being a big eater loves that the menu has a small bites section. There is also plenty...of scope for larger appetites. The food we had was very good, nicely plated. Service was efficient and friendly. The apple crumble I had for dessert was delicious. We had a really good time with our friends.More

Travelled from Devon, got stuck in awful traffic and was late, although I did tell them. Held my table and were very understanding. Knew exactly who I was when I arrived and made me feel so important after a rubbish day. Food was fab, service...was attentive without being too much and the setting outside under canvas was fab.More

We have been to the Moody Mare around 6 times since moving to the area and every time the food has been superb, staff and service excellent too, even with larger parties, they step up to the mark.

We had an amazing Sunday lunch, the roast sirloin was the best, melted in the mouth! Great service, lovely desserts, child friendly. Local beer was also perfectly served. Highly recommend, we will be back!
