We regularly eat here, and are always amazed at how quick the food arrives despite how busy it is. The menu is wide enough to satisfy most requirements, and make sure you check out the specials board. Staff have always been efficient and pleasant, and...More

I live in Maldon but I rarely visit this place. I always find the service rude. I only ever go when we have visitors and they want to eat local by the water. I keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt and each...More

We were looking for somewhere for lunch and settled for the Queens Head right by the riverside and chose the Place and Chips. This was the best fish and chips we have ever had, the place had been properly boned with the skin removed and...More

Lovely atmosphere outside. Mostly lely staff. Food is really poor and over priced. £14 for scampi and poor quality chips. Burgers the cheap variety which is a real shame

Great location next to the river, the food is basic pub food nothing more nothing less, I have eaten here three times, however you come here for the location not the food.

Food average, service ok, location superb. The location is the best thing. The resturaunt lacks soul and is noisy. It does however have good views and overall its not that expensive. There are better places to eat in Maldon.

This is a legal question, so I suggest googling to find out the law on the employment of young people in premises serving alcohol.

Sorry we don't do a cooked breakfast at the moment. We do run our full menu from 11am every day if that is of any use

Dogs are allowed in both bars which also serve food. Not in the restaurant away from the bars.

The best pub venue in Maldon, set on the Blackwater river.Thames barges aline the quayside. Large patio area, with seating for over 100 people. Over looked by Maldon St Marys Church. A wonderful setting on the quay, a fantastic old working dock fo yesteryear.
