Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I reserved a table for afternoon tea, with a few special requirements. The requirements were not a problem and the staff extremely helpful. The afternoon tea was exceptional and the frequent offer of another tea / coffee was brilliant. I took my mum and mother...in-law for an early mother's day treat and they're still raving about it today 😊. We'll definitely be back. Thank youMore

Surpassed expectations!!!! I booked the morning glory tea for my wife's birthday breakfast. Lovely warm welcome and seated straight away. Guided up to the 3rd floor of this exquisite old building we were seated . Chloe (amazing!) talked us through our menu, we opted for...Californian scramble on our bottom tier, full English also an option. Then the second tier was savoury pastries , cheese scones and salmon and cream cheese croissants. All homemade and so tasty. Top tier, yoghurt and granola shots with blueberry muffins and cinnamon swirls.....yes this is a lot of food so come hungry. All this washed down with a fresh juice and unlimited tea or coffee. Amazing selection of teas too. Chloe is everything you want from people in the hospitality trade, informative and attentive, a real credit to Mrs Salisburys. She gave us a really interesting brief history of the tea rooms and was a real delight. We even got cute little boxes to bring home what we couldn't finish. A really lovely experience, can't wait to return.More

Absolutely perfect visit to Mr Sainsbury’s tea rooms in Maldon. Booked a table for 2 on a Tuesday morning, for the morning glory afternoon tea. We were taken upstairs where it was lovely and quiet, a perfect place to catch up with friends or family....Situated in a period building on Maldon highstreet, the decoration was so fitting and lovely. The upstairs bathroom was a special gem! The food was delicious and there was plenty to go round, excellent value for money. Our server, Chloe, was so friendly and attentive, really making our experience special. She even put a sparkler on our muffins as we were celebrating a birthday! Come for the afternoon tea and stay for the service!! Will be returning when I am next in maldon. Perfect!!🥰🩷More

I know they do vouchers for various amounts, but unsure of expiry. Suggest contact the tea rooms direct. Certainly for 60th birthday their afternoon teas are a real treat !
