The best Cretan restaurant in the area ! Super authentic, great food, super tasty, cooked by the grand Ma, great vegetarian options, excellent white wine, free delicious raki. A delight, we went there 3 times for diner and ordered once for take away, exceptional experience.

We ate most nights at this restaurant on our recent holiday as it is so friendly and relaxed and has great food. The waiter was very helpful and the menu is all food cooked with fresh ingredients and to traditional Cretan recipes. Very good value too. We thoroughly recommend Aptera Restaurant as a place for a happy and laid back... More

Very friendly, welcoming and patient service. The owner took his time to explain the dishes and answer our questions. The food was excellent - all traditional local specialities. Particularly tasty -'lamb simmered in thyme and red wine' and 'pork in wine, garlic and coriander'. The atmosphere was wonderful and relaxed. We are certainly going to go back before we leave.

During our two-week honeymoon in a nearby villa, this was one of the first places that we ate out at, following advice to do so from the visitors' book where we were staying. I can't for the life of me remember what we had for our mains, but we had village sausages for the starter, and a type of crispy... More

The restaurant is run by laughing and very pleasant Englishwoman. The second lady supports guests. very vigorously, also. The dishes were very tasty and the atmosphere was great. Very original menu on a large table. We will definitely go back.

This is a traditional local restaurant with wholesome food made with good local ingredients cooked in a simple way. The welcome and service is very warm and natural. Friday is a good day to get fresh sea bream, but the lamb and rabbit stews are also very good. Also great Greek salad (as you would expect!).

A great lunch at Aptera, the food is excellent and the service welcoming. We had roast chicken, stuffed tomatoes and peppers and briam all very tasty. The service can be slowish at lynx when Chrisoula is by herself but this is Greece, you're probably in holiday, enjoy

I really love the lampchops and sakanaki here. On Friday they have fresh seabream the menu isn't that big but they have a board with specialties. Mainly meat dishes here and a good atmosphere. Located at town center.
