Cant understand people this was one of the best Sunday luches i have had for a long time Beef was delicious and also the Turkey .both our deserts were just as good. My only criticism was the vegable portion was small . And as my...partne does not eat potato she could have done with more. Also thank to the host for booking us in.More

This must be the worst Traditional Sunday lunch my wife and I have had in many years of enjoying Sunday lunch in various Pubs and restaurants. The Turkey and stuffing was rolled together and was chewy and seemed like it had been microwaved. My wife’s...roast rib of beef was the end of the joint and very dry and she said it seemed like the Yorkshires had been deep fried. My wife had crusty bread and butter to try someone else’s Pattie they forgot to bring it but brought it when everybody else had finished their starters and charged for a full course. Very disappointing service and very poor food will not be returning.More

Having been impressed with the quality of the food & service on visits leading up to a family celebration (10 people, adults & children) we were well pleased with how things turned out on the day of the event. The Sunday Lunch menu was as...varied as the evening menus. The food was terrific. The staff were friendly & knowledgeable. It wont be long before we go back againMore

We returned to the area for a long weekend and opted to revisit after twenty or so years the Black Horse. The food was extremely good and super value. Without doubt my gammon steak with eggs and pineapple was the best I have probably ever...had. Simply top. All other dishes were enjoyed and my Black Sheep was in excellent condition. I hope that the pub gets the support all pubs need to continue and when I one day revisit the area it is still open for a good dinner. If you read reviews my advice is check how many reviews the person has given. An indifferent review from someone who has posted less fifty is probably not worth considering. I was pleased we opted for the Blackhorse last week and thanks also to the pleasant team.More

A couple of weeks ago I had an amazing meal here with my husband and son. The calamari starter was delicious, fresh and melted in the mouth. The king prawn/fishcake starter wasn't quite as good. The fishcake was a little bland however the king prawn...was very tasty. My husband and I had the duck - a huge portion which was very succulent in a tangy orange sauce. .My son had the steak which he said was one of the best he'd ever had - nice and tender, with delicious peppercorn sauce and chunky chips. All the portions were plentiful and the service was very friendly and prompt. We would highly recommend this restaurant.More

Was really not good. Poor quality food and not well cooked. Maybe the chef was away? Can do a lot better myself. Won’t be going back.

We have visited The Black Horse restaurant on many occasions and have never been disappointed. The first class service and excellent food makes this place one of our favourites when we’re back in the UK. The new decor looks great and I can only recommend....Don’t be put off by any negative comments, some people are impossible to please. If you think £24 for 3 courses is too expensive than just stay home! I can recommend the Sunday roast and a great wine selection to accompany...More

Wow ! What can I say we visited the black horse first time since lockdown and wow from the new decor to the friendliness of the staff nothing was to much. the food was fantastic my partner had the rib eye steak he said it's...the best steak he has ever eaten and he loves his steak he didn't have the peppercorn sauce thou he didn't want to spoil the flavour he said . I had the lamb shank . Truly beautifully cooked hats of to the chef. my son is a very picky eater but nothing was to much for him the chef went above and beyond to make him happy . definitely worth a visit . No I know nobody likes to wear masks but we all need to do our bit dont we .More
